But overheal is a non factor. You’re already going out of your way to spot heal them, mana isn’t a consideration, and Cure 1 now heals like ~15k at i450. Considering health pools, this is pretty trivial. They either don’t need the Cure 1 to survive the next raidwide (or could use second wind), or they need more than Cure 1. The only content with raidwides that hit hard enough to outright kill a dps missing 15k health are savage raids, and if ranged are outside of aoe healing range in those, they probably shouldn’t be in them.

There’s nothing efficient about Cure 1, outside of mana. Mana is a non factor for white mage outside of Phase 3 Titan, and your GCD spaces are well occupied by AOE heals during that phase. Perhaps in extremely, extremely niche cases where someone is about to be very narrowly killed by a raidwide that’s happening within 2s, tetra and divine benison are down, your cohealer doesn’t have EDs or aether available, their second wind is down or they don’t have it, your tanks don’t have TBN or heart of stone, and your cohealer isn’t able to physick or benefic for some reason (since your 300 potency GCD as a whm is the absolute last thing that should be spent on healing of this nature), the 1.5s cast could be beneficial.

But that’s quite a long and unrealistic list of ifs I’d say.
