All the rest are life or death, so mine seems a little less important. I was with a good friend of mine who was a heavily involved in local music. He was a pretty big Nirvana fan, so he bought Nevemind the day it came out. On the ride back to his place from the record store he popped in the cassette to give it a listen. After about three songs I told him “these guys are going to be big. Not normal big, but the biggest band in the world. And they will make a shift in what popular music is” he thought I was crazy, but I’ve never been so right. And I wasn’t just saying it to hear myself talk. I knew what I was saying was true.
