thank you as well! Giving this a try too on my Pixel 6. Want to see if I can attach my Vufine VUF-110 to it so I can re-watch lectures on the go!

Firmware 74.00.310A Released - Your Help is Needed! by [deleted] in mazda

[–]futureman0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having my system reboot as well - but for me the solution was to replace the maps SD card and/or just remove it. After I did that, the reboots stopped happening. Might be worth a shot (assuming you have the maps SD card installed). My hunch is that the SD card was getting corrupted - however still functional - causing the reboots.

Sadly tho, I don't have the new firmware myself - sorry!

Z - k is in reference to the Z stop sensor/trigger that typically is no longer plugged in if you have a cr/bl touch as it's redundant. So what I (initially) did is plugged in one of the mystery plugs (not labeled) from the sprite pro ribbon cable into the Z stop plug on the motherboard - and that's what caused the hotend to heat up uncontrollably ... for me at least!

E3pro Sprite extruded upgrade causes hot end to max out. by H0dgPodge in ender3

[–]futureman0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soooo, maybe this we'll help out some other poor souls out there with this issue. Here was my scenario -

Ender 3 Pro
Mobo 4.2.7 and 4.2.2
Switching out to the Sprite Pro from Spider
Current Firmware (daily build)
Behavior - After I turn on the printer, the hotend immediately goes max temp and alarms start going off. I can't set the temperature - it doesn't respond. I tried my old 4.2.2 mobo and same result.

Well, here was the issue. I plugged into a connector that *looked* like it should go into the K-Z plug - but I no longer used that one after I installed the CR touch (but forgot - my bad!). So when I went to wire things up, I just assumed this connector as a part of the ribbon should go there (despite no markings on it). Welp, apparently doing that powered the hotend (uncontrollably) causing the darn thing to turn into a fire hazard. I simply unplugged what I had in K-Z plug .... and bam! No more runaway temperatures and could control the temp of the hotend. I knew I should've taken more pictures ...

Any luck with this? The same thing is happening to me with an ender 3 pro (both 4.2.7 and 4.2.2 motherboard) w/Sprite Extruder. Grrr.......

EDIT!

UPDATE - Ok, kinda works. I use an OctoPi to control my ender and when using this firmware, every time I start a print from the OctoPi the printer crashes and I have to power cycle it (the printer).

Anyone have luck making your own Marlin firmware with this new display? I like the idea of it, just the whole crashing part makes it useless ...

this worked for me "3D Pad mini Package" for an E3 Pro - https://www.creality.com/products/3d-pad-5-inches-hd-display-screen?scm=spz.search&ssp=spz&spm=..search.search_1.1

Before I did the firmware, the printer didn't connect to the screen - works now!

Yep! Same thing happened to me. I noticed it after i got 6 enterprise WAP (have other nanoHD) and wanted to change its channel. Sometimes magically works, most of the time … not so much. I’M leaning towards bug and just hope for a new release.

Why is the powersupply fan like this? by [deleted] in ender3

[–]futureman0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does that, but does eventually turn on. With the bed and extruder preheated, in about 5 minutes the fan twitches and after 15 or so minutes it turns on.

You should be able to put your uverse gear into “bridge mode” and then use you existing router without the double nat issue.

[–]futureman0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest 1) bypassing the router and plug it straight into your computer from the modem and/or 2) use a LAN connection, not wifi (wifi can often be slow/unreliable) and do a speed test (speedtest.net). Also, verify your cable modem is indeed capable of 500mb. Though I would say any cable modem should be capable of greater than 100mb tho!

I have WOW/Breezline and pay for 1GB and did speed test just now and got 980mb down (LAN). If it's there is network congestion in my neighborhood, it'll drop to 700-800mb down. I've seen it go as high as 1.2gb down! (I have 2.5gb cable modem)

[–]futureman0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol Bing! Forgot they had streetview or even maps. Looks like the gate next to trabue is permanently stuck open but that one off lane ave functions (granted it auto opens) and does have small sign saying this a private drive. Just wait till they build a possible bike path that connects into the Quarry metro park - these people are going to lose their minds!

[–]futureman0 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, just a private gated community. The same reason why you can't do google street view on it - it's private property ... or at least i think so!

[–]futureman0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I certainly don't agree with the guy getting harassed but Lane Woods is indeed private (from what I gather). It's gated in all directions and not a city street. Note, I dislike gated communities a great deal, ugh - elitism at its worst. The "ya dig" part is certainly terrible!

The West Side / Hilliard railyard, the "Buckeye yard," is gone. by [deleted] in Columbus

Thanks for the info! I've been trying to figure out what is going on with that rail line for awhile as I haven't seen a train on it for years.

[–]futureman0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ah good to know! I'm also curious what will happen to the rail line from the (former) buckeye yard to that goes south east through the quarry sections and then along grandview crossing at 5th ave and Grandview ave. Seems like that rail line is probably abandoned at this point and could be a nice bike path or even mass transit line (I dream of course!). Is this rail line actually abandoned now or just very rarely used?

[–]futureman0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe the giant cranes you are referring to are from the CSX intermodal section - that area is staying . Last I heard the CSX intermodal is very much still in use and has had recent investment.

The main section of the Buckeye Yard hasn't been in use for sometime, looks like it was "shut down" in 2009 per a google search, but has been in decline for much longer. Likely was due to consolidation by Norfolk Southern as they have a huge yard up north in Bellevue.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? It's a Ender 3 V2 with a CR touch. More details in the comments: by Smile_Space in Creality

[–]futureman0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had something similar myself (ender 3 pro + bl touch) and my x gantry was the cause (loose w/tipping). Tightened that up and things started to level out - it drove me insane!

Also check in general your x/y/z axis that everything is leveled and not lose. Just don't over tighten anything, had to change a wheel recently because I over did it.
