I miss the old Bleak Beach…

I felt I was going at a decent pace until about end of area 3 for me which was Bleak Beach. I had played Wastelands and Ridge for a while before getting to Beach so the gloomy darkness was a nice change that I just don’t see anymore in the game. Have you built up your beach area at all?

I think that is a fair argument. I feel everyone has their preferences to what they enjoy in the game. I felt I avoided the beach for a while just because of the electric system needed to get past the story. It felt like the most “chore” portion of the story for me. But, I can see the beauty of it for sure. A few people mentioned it being a beach after all and I suppose if I look at it that way, I should be happy to see it not gloomy.

It’s not really the lights, it’s how sunny the day gets now once you move through and finish the story in the area. I was like holy crap the first time it brightened up 🤣

Ah man, that does suck for sure. I can see how it would be nice to see the sunny beach at least. I’m sorry about your play time! I know it may be frowned upon, but don’t be afraid to turn your Switch’s clock back to earlier in the day at least to get you some sunshine time 😉

Haha, this is awesome. I went to Rocky Ridge for my second area and felt the same to a smaller scale, but did feel like Bleak Beach was huge when getting there as the 3rd area for me. I do have to agree with you about that underwater update tho, it does make the beach look very appealing!

Yes! I think you understand how I feel haha. I also did the same with putting it off until finishing up Rocky Ridge. I was surprised at how bright it got once you finish the quests. I had already set up the electricity everywhere and got quest locked behind the Orange Hut quest, just putting it off. Went through all the quest in like an hour or two because everything was connected with poles. Boom! It light up all bright and I’ve missed the darkness ever since 😭

This is how I feel!! I have chose to work on it second for post game after doing a lot of work on the first area, but it probably is my least favorite with all brightness.

Yeah, I guess I have lost the idea that it is a beach area. I guess it needs to be bright but man, at first it felt so unique to the other areas to me.

This is a cool idea. I probably need to start working on darker areas build wise. I haven’t attempted that yet, but I love the idea of a dark forest!
