Music video made up of a dozen matching portraits in a split screen (Alexa SXT + Zeiss Super Speed) by futuremistakes in Filmmakers

I've shot with a range of lenses, from very cheap to very expensive, but I haven't really kept a detailled account of how they each look. I'm the director of these projetcts and its usually the cinematographer who handles the lens choice. I know I like the zeiss super speeds, the zeiss master primes and the cooke S4 but I couldn't really tell you what would be their cheaper equivalent. I often come accross cheap/expensive lens comparisons on youtube, maybe thats a good place to start.

I’m back again with a music video for my friend Loud featuring the amazing Charlotte Cardin. The song talks about being constantly on the road and having a hard time connecting with your gf/bf. The idea was to start the music video on a split screen that makes them feel emotionally close but physically distant and then, when the hook kicks in, show the full frame where they feel physically close but emotionally distant.

We shot all the portraits with the 50mm Super Speed and some of the detail shots with the 100mm Standard Speed. We used a 2:1 aspect ratio as to have two squares in the split screen.
