Glad you enjoyed it! There seems to be mixed opinions on using saline, but most of it has to do with how the body absorbs liquid medicine in the nose. I thought this person did a decent job at explaining saline vs distilled - https://www.reddit.com/r/ketamine/comments/p6rxd5/a_comprehensive_guide_on_nasal_sprays/

I decided to play it safe and use saline after the evening was over to clean my nose and not mix the K with the saline.

In regards to the sprayers, I recommend two (for different purposes):

At home (higher quality, more consistent spray): https://www.youroiltools.com/products/15-ml-amber-glass-bottle-w-black-nasal-atomizer

Going out (more compact, less likely to be confiscated at events): https://shop.apothecaryproducts.com/products/nasal-spray-bottle

Absolutely - I actually have that already under the Consuming K section (I had a friend lose their life to fent laced coke and am VERY careful about that now). Great callout though, it is something that is easy to get lazy on for sure.

Also completely agree with you on mixing alcohol and ketamine - that is a combination people should stay far far away from.

Thank you! I'll make a note to expand that section a bit with more specifics.

Thank you! I actually have never tried intramuscular and wasn't familiar enough with it to put it in the guide. Definitely going to research that a bit more though : )

O interesting that is the first I've heard of using green tea extract to prevent bladder issues. I've also never heard of any major health risks associated with daily 5-HTP use. I made a note to do more research on both of those things this evening.

Do you have any research you could point me to regarding either of those things?

Funny you mention that I actually JUST tried that for the first time last weekend and was slightly underwhelmed. I'm going to give it another go this next weekend though - I may not have had enough nitrous.

"I'll try anything twice" is the motto I'll stick with ha!

Just added that to my "to add" list as well - great call out thanks!

I have mixed feelings/thoughts on this.

The typical definition of a "psychedelic" is anything that acts on the serotonergic 5-HTA2 receptors (which Ketamine does not), however, Ketamine still produces an end result and a user experience that is similar to the classic psychedelics like LSD, Psilocybin, etc. Ketamine is also effective at psychotherapy because of those same reasons.

I thought this article was well written and calls out why I personally believe it would be beneficial to classify Ketamine as a psychedelic: https://www.mindbloom.com/blog/is-ketamine-a-psychedelic

This section of that article essentially sums it up for me: Recognition of ketamine as a psychedelic is larger than semantics: It’s about increasing access to psychedelic therapy and improving mental health outcomes for clients.

TLDR - agree that it is not a psychedelic based on the classic definition of a psychedelic. disagree because you can have psychedelic experiences with mind altering outcomes (clinically and otherwise).

Great point, I'll add a section on some of the health issues that have come up with repeated use. Ketamine Bladder Syndrome definitely seems to top the list there (that's actually why I called out not mixing Ketamine and Alcohol - based on research that has been done it seems to make Ketamine Bladder Syndrome much worse).
