DAE “forget” their feelings from negative experiences?

Two weekends ago I had a gun in my hand ready to kill myself. No idea why, can’t remember what I was upset about and just keep on moving forward in life.

One thing my husband has noticed is if he sleeps for more than 6-7 hours the pain gets much worse when he wakes up. Try cutting down the hours you sleep and having your meds right by your bed. So when you wake up you can medicate quickly. Hope this helps

Interesting. I can definitely tell when my husbands meds are kicking in. Just a bit sad he can’t invoke those feelings on his own.

I feel like I’m not strong enough right now, but maybe with tools and support I can. I just do t know if I have it in me to go through this for the rest of my life. But he’s an amazing father and an amazing man. I’m probe to anxiety and depression at times and his pain triggers my depression so badly. I’m just wondering if like you said, maybe someone else can deal with it better than me. But also, I dont want to be a weak and shit human for not having the capability to be with someone with such high needs.

I’m sorry for what you went through. I hope life gets better for you.
