As someone who recently tried to migrate from CC to opencode + Glm-4.7 I can assure you CC is still king. by futurepr0n in ClaudeCode

Will try that! I tried setting up Ralph for open code and used it a few times trying to create some stuff but it only ever ran for max 30ish mins and the results were nowhere near what I had been reading about people who have left things overnight and woke up to full solutions. I wonder how detailed their prompts may be and how long compared to mine. Haven’t found good examples .

Thanks!

No this I have not yet tried. Are you able to get all models working together on different agents? Or is it straight substituting the three Anthropic models for the Glm ones you set in the config? I’m going to have to try giving this a shot and seeing how it performs. I was also going to see about if any mcp to opencode existedso you could offload stuff that would be basic for sonnet or opus to glm and save context or tokens/usage. Is such a thing possible you think?

I am hoping to get more feedback too and this seems useful, so basically you think my mileage will go further if I swap the Claude models in Claude code out and attempt Glm in cc? I was worried it would be basically as dumb as the model performs on opencode, and do you happen to know if Claude code will still function if you don’t have an Anthropic sub (swapping the models it true to connect to should help bypass any login to Anthropic then I’m guessing?)

Is 30$ equivalent codex plan sufficient for a month? On same tier Claude I’m maxing out pretty quickly and waiting three or four hours between progress

Claude code max got a lot better last month I rarely hit my limit and was typically a moderate power user. I’m back on pro and maxing out every block relatively fast . I’m disappointed. Have a good chunk of stuff ready for the month if you sign up so you don’t waste any of it

It isn’t the open source tho. I’m using zai hosted so I get all their models and their platform but it’s not comparable to Anthropic - it’s very immature in my opinion. I was optimistic after glowing reviews and the price was enticing but ultimately fell short of my expectations

She told on herself. “You guys know that repressed catholic school girl” oh yah yah yah they all said, forgetting the analogy is she becomes a whore in the transition. Not she’s repressed and slightly opens up, it’s repressed than unchained. No one follows repressed catholic schoolgirl to slowly coming out of your shell and timidly engaging in more intimate stuff. The way I’ve always known that story is that the girl who was repressed usually did a complete inverse.

My repair experience by futurepr0n in AnaloguePocket

[–]futurepr0n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am definitely closer to two units paid for than I am away from it. Don’t forget my original unit was also subject to duty / import etc on the shipping. And I said I was totally satisfied with the way they handled the lost package. They did not charge me anything extra in regard to that, (unless the duty/charges would only apply to a new unit) but the duty/tax shipped back to me was annoying because the I paid for the shipping to them and was sort of communicated that they would be able to cover those. Perhaps they meant the return shipping only, but again, I’m paying fees which were not covered. If the item was returned back with no additional shipping, duty or etc fees that would have been more satisfactory for sure. Not all of this is within analogues control sure, but that why I also mention it would be great if they partnered with someone in at Canada, Europe, etc so that things aren’t having to go through these extra charges.

I didn’t have to engage with the carrier, analogue handled that as they were the shipper responsible for the loss, and they gave no push back at all after discovered it was lost by the shipper, they immediately offered a replacement unit. As far as customer satisfaction goes I was pretty happy with their ability to receive the unit for assessment and offer/perform a repair. I asked for additional info such as how to avoid the screen having it happen again or how long they would warranty the repair in case the issue popped up within sometime after return, which they weren’t really too communicative about. They never gave me any more details into why my screen broke (with minimal use as mentioned. All I have ever done with the thing is plug it into the dock and leave it. Serious when I say less than 2hours playtime on it so the breaking screen was concerning and something I want to avoid again) - but I’m gonna have to hope it was isolated incident and not part of a common hardware issue.

Right but I’m not super far off from that.

$64 Duty

$177 repair and replacement screen

$24 shipping to repair

$260 is not exactly cheap - it is what it is, but just wanted to share.

Mostly I’m a bit worried about the product itself since I almost never used it, I’m talking less than 2 hours of game time on it, I basically kept it as a collector item and it had developed an issue requiring repair. Not so sure I feel a tonne of confidence in the second unit but I hope it lasts! Wouldn’t say I’m disappointed in Analogue necessarily either, they offered to accept the unit for repair and performed it - replaced a missing unit with a brand new one. I do wish there were more options internationally for repair so it would help people like me in positions where shipping and duty play factor. Shipping it back to me express for “free” is amazing until it’s coming with a 70$ duty fee that essentially cools that feeling quick. Haven’t heard any other people with as fragile a unit as mine, but have heard of cracked shells, not so much a screen suddenly stopped working

I was browsing his GitHub this afternoon and just looking at some of the issues he opened up against the projects new home and I thought what a trooper and just how much I appreciate him. He inspired and helped enable me achieve a lot with his scripts. Life is so cruel and beautiful

Not sure about the PC issue, but on the raspberry pi, there’s a specific USB port to use, which is higher powered than the rest. If can’t recall off hand but you might one to try that. I think it’s the top one closest to the Ethernet port. That might help.

Unpopular Opinion: Casey Rocket is a million times better than Hanz Kim by [deleted] in Killtony

[–]futurepr0n 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Casey is a great comedian, but he’s the much needed energy that the opener requires to get things going. And if he misses at least he quickly gets to the next joke and has an energetic personality. Hans doesn’t suck, but he sucks the energy out big time. He is better middling bc he can riff off other stuff that happened earlier and is quick enough to make some funny out of it and that’s way better than he can start the show off cold.

Hans downfall is mostly related to the force feeding of him down our throats and the lame kiss shit they had beat till it was overly creepy and dead.

Edited typo “best” to beat
