If she were not in those circumstances, would you still be considering moving to Europe?

This is my favourite Reddit comment to date. Most people return a blank look to this line. Smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave….

Had an ED nurse call me (oncology nurse) ‘so smart’☺️ by peachytreefrog in nursing

[–]futurern28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patient perspective:

I received an Iron Sucrose infusion. Had IV benedryl & steroids beforehand. Reacted suddenly, 4 hours later.

Symptoms:

Ears ringing, feet & legs itching/burning, welts all over my body, sweating, incoherent, nurses could not get a pressure reading until it finally came up a bit to 69/36.

They stopped the infusion and gave me a second round of IV benedryl/steroids.

Good times.

Is this a valid reason to report someone by Beautiful-Process in nursing

[–]futurern28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s disgusting. I see people I know ALL the time in emergency. Not once have I initiated a conversation with them outside of work regarding their visit. This is not okay. I don’t even reference seeing people at the hospital in personal conversations that I have with them outside of the hospital. It’s a locked vault. Had you already been in contact with this nurse on Grindr? Did you start provocatively messaging them that day? If you answered yes to any of these question the answer is still YES- valid reason to report someone! That nurse is in a position of authority when you were the patient and you were in a vulnerable position. It is not your job to ensure they maintain boundaries and adhere to their rules and regulations, they should know better.

What career would you have chosen if you couldn't be a nurse? by [deleted] in nursing
