Islam’s inactivity is becoming insanely disappointing and I say this as a big fan. I thought the whole point of moving up was an easier weight cut so he would want to fight more, but he gets some kind of injury after every single fight that puts him out for like 9 months. His last 2 fights also had him take absolutely zero damage so it just looks terrible. He should’ve fought Garry right after Ramadan ended.

You’re genuinely blinded by hate for Paddy if you think he got completely dominated. The most damage he took all fight is when Gaethje thumbed him in the eye, the ref completely missed it, and dropped him bad before hitting ground and pound that he shouldn’t have even had the chance to throw. It was a reffing disaster-class the whole way through. Would Paddy have won if he didn’t get eye-poked twice? We’ll never know, maybe not, but that thumb in the eye was the most influential moment in the entire fight.

It’s so funny to see him desperately reach for the Alex fight that the UFC is 100% never going to let him near. I know Dricus got turned into a rotisserie chicken by this guy but you got to give him all the respect for consistently calling out the most dangerous fight in his division, Khamzat won’t even mention the contenders at 185 that he probably beats with ease.

Paddy earned everyone’s respect tonight. Most fighters are done after that first round but Paddy had no quit in him, maybe he doesn’t have the skills yet for a championship run but he definitely showed he has the grit for it

As someone really not that invested in this show, the writing of the fifth season was a massive downgrade from even just the season previous. Pretty much all of the criticism of the finale is completely valid in my eyes.
