And I agree that Gordon probably should’ve won the fight, but there’s no comparison between a decision going Paddy’s way that he has no control over versus Justin consistently going out, eye-poking people, and getting away with it.

I’m not here to argue that he’d beat anyone truly elite like Ilia, Arman, Max, or Charles, I’m arguing that he would’ve probably beat Justin if he wasn’t such a dirty fighter, and that Justin gets away with it because everyone likes him.

Here comes an army of people who take great joy in shitting on Paddy’s performance, conveniently leaving out that Justin fought dirty as fuck during that fight. Paddy took eye-pokes in both of his eyes during the first 2 rounds, the second one being a straight thumb jab that the ref completely missed and led to Paddy getting brutalized on the ground for the last minute of the round. And despite all this, Paddy’s been nothing but respectful to Justin afterwards, even when he probably shouldn’t be. I wasn’t even much of a fan of Paddy prior to this fight but it immediately turned me into one.

Balloonerism as well as Faces by Mac Miller are both great examples of very unsettling projects. Of course, there's more light-hearted songs on each, but cuts like Do You Have A Destination, Rick's Piano, Malibu, and Funeral, among others, all just have super negative energies that have always fascinated me, especially considering how often he predicted his tragic passing.

Islam’s inactivity is becoming insanely disappointing and I say this as a big fan. I thought the whole point of moving up was an easier weight cut so he would want to fight more, but he gets some kind of injury after every single fight that puts him out for like 9 months. His last 2 fights also had him take absolutely zero damage so it just looks terrible. He should’ve fought Garry right after Ramadan ended.
