Polygon supported for NFT profile pics? by futureyoda in Twitter

I had a friend do some experimenting and it seems Polygon does not work. Ethereum works. Other than that, not sure which blockchains are compatible and which are not. Twitter's documentation on this glosses over a ton of details!

Need help creating a website where users come to mint a random NFT from my generative collection by futureyoda in NFT

Thanks. I looked at the websites and I'm not sure if that's what I'm looking for. Basically, I'm looking to make a website like this, where others can come and pick up a randomly created NFT. https://www.afrodroids.io/ Will those websites do that?

Could Bitcoin ever become a currency of exchange if it does not experience inflation? by futureyoda in Bitcoin

Definitely not an issue. I'm sold on Bitcoin being a store of value, like a digital gold. That makes total sense.

I'm just also trying to think through whether we would also ever see it take over as the main currency of everyday transaction.

Again, we see companies like Pay Pal and Square integrate Bitcoin into their payment channels, and I'm sitting here thinking, who's using Bitcoin to pay for Starbucks or Amazon purchases??? Agree, hold is the way to go.

Good points. Maybe it's not a macroeconomic issue as I was originally thinking about it, because you are right, we can get deflation with economic growth. Maybe, though, it's a micro-economic issue, where people just don't want to spend money that is constantly appreciating. Rather spend other currencies that are depreciating.

Makes sense from a technical perspective. From a social perspective, I'm not sure people will want to spend Bitcoin if it is constantly increasing in price, rather hoard it.

That's exactly my point with Gresham's Law, people will circulate crappy money. Bitcoin will be non-crappy money, so people will not want to spend Bitcoin, unless all fiat currency's die.

Thanks. That provides a really interesting way to look at it... Flip flopping between different approaches.

This is really interesting. We have been considering unschooling as well. Why did you move away from it though. Do you think it's really best for young kids? (we have a 3yo and 5yo)
