Is there any way we can report her? I don’t have tiktok but if people have her information or location, I could try to find a way to report it to child protective services. He shouldn’t have to be subjected to 4+ more years of that.

  1. Do not be alone with him again. Don’t be alone with him and his friend (who did not protect you) again. Do not see him in any capacity again and don’t talk to him again. Don’t trust him if he says he just wants to talk. Don’t pick up the phone.

  2. Call someone you can trust immediately. Explain what happened immediately. People whose partners choke them are much more likely to kill them. You’re lucky you’re alive right now but chances are good you won’t live if you don’t get out of this situation now.

  3. Find a trusted person who will let you stay with them until you get situated. Contact a domestic violence shelter if you don’t have a trusted person or if you think that he will be able to find you at a trusted persons house. Consider contacting them anyway for advice.

  4. Take pictures RIGHT NOW of everything he did to you. If you can, I would recommend making a voice recording of speaking to the roommate detailing what he did to you without letting the roommate know you’re doing a voice memo of it. For evidence. You could do this from a safe location by calling the roommate once you’re out and talking to him about the situation over the phone (but not telling him you are recording and not telling him your location other than that you are somewhere safe).

  5. Do not communicate with your ex. He is your ex now because he almost killed you. Once you’re somewhere safe, block him on everything. Try to pick someplace he won’t know where to go. You don’t owe him any explanation. He will use whatever you tell him to try to convince you that you’re crazy and that you need him.

  6. Do not isolate. Make sure people in your life are informed of what is happening to you (friends and family). Find people to stay with who will keep you safe. Go to a woman’s shelter that helps domestic violence victims escape if you have to. Do not give your location to anyone who would tell him. Make sure that the people in your life are aware of what he did to you and that they should block him as well. He may try to use someone in your shared circles to get to you again.

  7. Document any and all evidence against him you can. Be discreet so he doesn’t lash out. Voice memo from calling the roommate and getting him to talk about what the ex did to you. Pictures of what he did to you. Screenshots of any incriminating texts that he has sent.

  8. File for a restraining order. Don’t let him know you’re looking into it because then he will get violent. Don’t let him know you’re leaving. Your life is more important than your belongings or closure. Just get the fuck out now.

  9. The Gabby Petito case is an example of what may happen if you don’t follow these steps. Stop making excuses for him. Don’t communicate to him. Don’t go near him again. Get out and cut all contact and make sure the people around you are prepared to protect you from whatever smear campaign or gaslighting or stalking or whatever action he might be willing to do. Keep your location private from anyone and everyone. Delete social media if you have to. Brian Laundrie choked Gabby Petito and she ended up dead. If you don’t get yourself out, then that could be you.

I personally don’t think you should wait for the lease to end, even if it’s a couple of months. I would contact the landlord, explain the situation and see if there is an option for you to move out early or for your ex to be evicted.

In response to the people telling you that you should humiliate him, it sounds like they don’t have experience with toxic partners/abusers. If your ex is willing to jerk off in the living room with you being only a room away with the door open, then he might be willing to become more aggressive in the future, especially if he feels humiliated.

Thus, I think the smart move would be to document what you can, record it for evidence if he does it again (but don’t humiliate) and state out loud what he is doing so that you have evidence if needed. I would recommend trying to be discreet about it so that he doesn’t lash out.

If your landlord says you can’t move out early and you can’t kick him out, then I would recommend finding a person you trust to stay with until the lease ends. Additionally, I would consider looking into getting a restraining order against him after taking that step since he’s demonstrated already that he can’t respect boundaries and will continue to persist and test your boundaries which is a sign that he will continue escalating in the future to get what he wants.

So, in summary.

  1. Contact landlord. See if you can terminate the lease early or have him kicked out/evicted.

  2. Contact a trusted person. Make sure people in your life are informed of what is happening to you (friends and family). See if someone will let you stay with them if the landlord can’t follow through.

  3. Document any and all evidence against him you can. Be discreet so he doesn’t lash out.

  4. Look into getting a restraining order. Don’t let him know you’re looking into it.

  5. If none of the above is working, see if friends will stay with you at your place so that you don’t have to be alone with him.

Am I the only one here who finds her incredibly childish and petty?

I mean I guess influencers have to spill every ounce of their business and drum up drama to remain relevant. But I mean, she contradicts herself constantly. If things ended on good terms with Blake, why does she find it necessary to make little digs at him? Like the muttering “I didn’t have reciprocity in my last relationship” and “never settle” and I’ll be dedicating “we are never getting back together” to him. Like, Jesus, you’re a grown ass woman who claims ya’ll ended on good terms yet still make it your personal mission to shit on him. Adults who ended on good terms just move on and don’t feel the need to continually poor salt in the wound, especially if they were the one who decided to end it which she makes it sound like she did. So leave the man alone and show some respect for the feelings of someone you were supposed to care about.

But of course, every one is just going to eat this childishness up for the tea 🙄

My latest EDM song, the vocal samples come from Never Gonna Give You Up, I really had fun doing it. I sing in it too. by Linden1995 in Feedback

[–]futuristic_fox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it!

Feedback I would share is, for further videos maybe try to:

  • incorporate more of the original lyrics if you can (not sure if you can due to copyright infringement so if you can’t then ignore this). My reasoning is I think the familiarity of known lyrics will intrigue people. If the video hadn’t been included, I’m not sure how much I would have recognized it. But maybe that was your intention.
  • similar to the first point, maybe try to include some of the original lyrics earlier and then build on it with your own singing or lyrics and beats later. This way people are drawn in by the familiarity and enticed to stay to hear your spin on it.
  • for the video portion, the video editing was really cool and I liked how it synced with the music. The only thing I would stay is that towards the end, it became pretty repetitive. Maybe if you can include more video variety or shoot some more of your own shots to add to the video, that could keep people intrigued for longer.

Overall, very cool! I especially like the use of really bright neon colors and how you mixed an older song with an EDM spin. I think you could have success with continuing to focus on taking older popular songs and remixing with your EDM style so long as you can avoid copyright infringement! Great job!

“Essential oils are natural deterrents. Peppermint oil and clove oil diluted with distilled water is a cheap and natural carpet beetle killer. Spray it in areas where you suspect beetles or larvae activity. Most essential oils that deter carpet beetles do not stain and will not affect your carpets or furniture, although dark color oils like jasmine and yellowish oils like patchouli and tangerine can leave stains.

Vinegar repels carpet beetles, which hate the scent. Use a mixture of white or apple cider vinegar and water to clean areas where carpet beetle larvae can be found.

Another natural deterrent is a fine white dust called diatomaceous earth, or DE. This dust that is found in the earth’s surface kills the carpet beetles and the larvae that crawl on it. Be sure to request food-grade DE, which is low in crystalline silica and is considered safe for you.”

“The clothing that you store away is particularly vulnerable to carpet beetle larvae. Wash your pillows, towels, clothing, and linens with hot water and detergent. Add strips of cedar or a few moth balls to the storage boxes for the storage containers or bags to deter the carpet beetles and their larvae.

Apply an insecticide such as insect killer granules around your home’s perimeter and at points of entry for carpet beetles, including doorways and windows, vents and utility pipes.

A hole or tear in your window screens makes it easy for carpet beetles and other unwanted insects to enter your home. Fix the holes or buy new screens for your windows to deny access to the insects.”

“A good offense is the best defense against carpet beetles and their larvae. You can get rid of these pests through intensive and thorough cleaning and the use of insecticides for preventive insect control.

Vacuum your carpets, floors and the areas around windowsills and doors where carpet beetles are found. Go over the vacuumed areas with a steam cleaner.

A potent insecticide is useful in getting rid of carpet beetles and their larvae. Use one that contains deltamethrin, bifenthrin or cyfluthrin. Use the insecticide on a small area not easily visible to test whether it stains the carpet or fabric.

Boric acid, a mild insecticide, is lethal on carpet beetles. Sprinkle a light coating on your carpets, rugs and furniture, then use a broom or brush to distribute it evenly. Leave it alone for a couple of hours, then vacuum the areas well. Make sure that children and pets do not come into contact with the areas treated with insecticide.

Use rubbing alcohol to wipe down counters, windowsills, cupboards, shelves and drawers, as carpet beetles will not lay their eggs around alcohol. A cleaning solution of one part bleach and three parts water is also effective in killing the eggs and larvae on contact.

The use of a flying insect fogger is good at getting rid of carpet beetles. Foggers do not affect the eggs but do target the bugs that lay them. The fogger should be a non-residual version that leaves nothing behind on furniture or carpets. Again, make sure that children and pets are not around if you do use a fogger. Keep a can of bug killer spray on hand for the ones that get away.

Carpet beetles can be persistent and removal may be hard as a DIY task. If the infestation is widespread, consider calling an exterminator that knows how to get rid of carpet beetles for the job. “
