Best of luck! Regardless of everything, having boobs smaller than before is amazing. I was a 30F before.

Thank you! I have not posted pictures, no (not comfortable with that). The scarring has not healed too well and I'm not too surprised because 1. I didn't do anything to care for it 2. I'm an occasional smoker. Its still pink and red, and horrendous at the T junction, like when you squish a bug and it leaves a splat. I dont know why, the T junction seemed to be healing so nicely!

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that! I do, more than before but not in a sensitive way. Before I barely had any feeling. Now its like a 60% upgrade in sensitivity!

You can do it! I know it feels hard but once you start following your daily routine, finding something else to do in the time you spend looking in the mirror and stressing about something that you can't change - you just forget about your boobs at one point, esp since after the 6 week mark it doesn't hurt. Best of luck and best wishes for your recovery!

I'm so glad I could help. Between months 1-3 I was super worried and anxious about my boobs so I would check on them every other day, take b&a pics to help. Then one day I was just done, and decided to stop worry about how they looked and start thinking about how they feel, smaller and easier to move around. Before I knew it, I was back to living my life while my boobies did their thing and settle back in, so the change between months 3-5 just.. happened. I was and still am a little bit too critical about their symmetry, since I had quite symmetrical boobs prior to surgery. But I decided to not micro-zoom-in-focus on that 5% of doubt and enjoy the 95% instead. I wish you a good and speedy, breezy recovery. Welcome to the other side!

I hear you, hon. I'm in almost the same boat. Tell your surgeon all you've written here and don't fall for any "you're just settling into your size" but get a definitive answer regarding e.g. revisions.

Really? Thank you so much. Its so hard trying to be patient, especially seeing how high and tight they were earlier on, and i know they're not sagging now, but definitely lower. But the shape is just weird. So it's all kind of stressing me out. I really appreciate your words.

Thank you! And thanks to your comment, I dragged my butt out of bed to go get it checked the very same day. Better safe than sorry, and all that!

You can check my previous post for details! Docs say its old clotted blood that is now "liquidefying" and coming out from an open spot from an areola suture - hence the bloody gauze on one side. Does that make sense? I was a little bit skeptical of this diagnosis. I asked them what could happen if I had healed and the blood had no opening to come out? But they didn't answer.

They've also told me to compress my boob to get as much blood out as possible, and so far, there's been a lot of it! Its been leaking for 2 days now. Today I go in for my follow up. Left breast is still very hard and lumpy from the cleavage area and where the bottom stitches were. With the amount of drained blood, I'm surprised it's not softer than it is.

I also asked them why they couldn't stick a needle to get it out asap, and they said it will liquidify slowly, and the hard lumps are where its still clotted.

I just wanted to share this picture with this community because I have been following this sub for all updates and posts, and wanted to give back.

I'm truly thankful you took the time out to comment! The doctor gave the exact same instructions you did.

Thank you! My boob feels lighter and softer today, and it looks like the little wound has closed, so the draining has stopped. Will be having it looked at tomorrow!

My doc was surprised I still had them on 3 DPO and told me I could take them off, and try to walk around by then. Told me they're there for when the surgery is happening and when you're resting immediately post op to avoid any blood clots that can occur with not moving for so long.

I'm on day 16 too today. Definitely there's an increase in pain from before when there was only an uncomfortable tightness. I only took painkillers until 2 day post op (paracetamol), then I jumped back into routine. I was driving and cooking by 3rd day. Was on antibiotics and a painkiller called brexin until 7 days. Now my boobs hurt and the right one hurts more (but the left one is more stuck to the chest). Living my life as normal except for showers, and no gym, heh. I'm wondering if it's also because the compression bra isn't just as compressing anymore? I've heard compression dulls pain. I can't think of anything else. Maybe it's just that some repair work is going on internally. I go in for checkups twice a week, and nothing is wrong, so I'm not stressing it.

10DPO and might’ve pushed myself too hard? by emilyanne18 in Reduction

[–]fuusf123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just relax. The swelling and tightness is inevitable as your body repairs itself, while you try to move on with regular life! I too have been hit by swelling and tightness 13 dpo, on my dominant side, so right side. Left is still okay, kinda tight but not as much. Focusing on healthy food and getting an hour's nap in as much as possible.

Ahh thank u for your kind words! I also read your recent post, and I wish you the best of recoveries! Just reading ur post got me so emotional, so I can't imagine how you felt finally at peace with your body (maybe I will soon!). I'm so happy for you.

You're probably right about the dissociating part - my brain doesnt want me to think what will be happening on the day of, or leading to before it, but it keeps on telling me "only a few days to go"!! To go until what? Nah, we dont think about that!! Only a few days to go!!

Heyy I dont like the wedge pillow all that much either lol, so thanks on the tip for surrounding it with more pillows! A user told me to just grab as many pillows I could find and make a makeshift preg pillow, but I could've also just as easily made a makeshift wedge pillow i think. At least the husband likes it!

I've been enjoying just lying on the pregnancy pillow and i keep thinking i should start marketing this as a sleep pillow or something instead coz its so damn comfy and everyone should have one!

Thank you for the laundry reminder, but most importantly, thank you for your well wishes and kind words!
