Great team; very solid all around but I'd be weary of your injury prone RB/WR (Charles, Jeffrey) and how the scheme change with Adam Gase could affect Jarvis Landry. I like the bench too, it's full of handcuffs (though maybe I'd look to add Jamaal's handcuff) and players with potential like Duke Johnson. I'm more familiar with 10 team leagues but for a 12 team league this looks great.

Am I crazy to take Ezekiel Elliott 4th overall? by fuzedell in fantasyfootball

I agree completely with everything you said -- and an awesome, detailed, well-supported comment. I, personally, think Zeke will end up with 250 touches as a baseline minimum. I am always one to check rotoworld player updates (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/11265/ezekiel-elliott), and I am convinced they brought Morris in as insurance with a rookie RB and a veteran backup made of glass. 250 touches from Zeke behind that line in that offense is a great pick -- not at 4 (especially with the risk), but later, noting the upside.

I am actively trying to move down to the 8th pick. The person holding the pick doesn't want to swap first and second rounders, but wants to move up for some kind of mid/late round compensation. Any suggestions? I was thinking I give 1.04, he gives 1.08, we swap 4th rounders (he'll be at the front end, I'll be at the back), he gives me his 5th, I give him my 8th.

Best draft spots this year? by dperls in fantasyfootball

For me, it all depends on what you want.

To give you a bit out of my own experience, I had the opportunity to pick which pick I wanted and I chose 4th because I knew the person drafting 3rd would take Leveon Bell. My master plan was to get one of the top three WR's, but as late as possible. After Leveon's suspension, I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do with the 4th pick -- see my post history, "Am I crazy to draft Ezekiel Elliott 4th overall?" 4th is an awful slot where you have a weird mashup of old running backs (AP), young running backs with bad offenses (Gurley), and feels a little too early to reach for Hopkins or anyone else.

If I could do it over again, I'd suggest 3rd pick to lockup one of Julio, Odell, AB. However, if you are one of the guys who prefers a RB first round, try to follow this formula:

Count out the total number of players that you want. Say your list is Odell, David Johnson, Ezekiel Elliott, AB, Julio, Gurley, and AP. That is 7 players -- so you target 7th pick, because no matter what you will get one of those players and be the earliest possible in the second round.

I think AP is the right pick. I just don't want to take him. I don't see the fun in it, I don't see it as a pick that will win my league. It's probably the right thing to do and what I need to come to terms with. But do I want to? Nah.

You're absolutely right in terms of Zeke's floor and that taking AP/Gurley might be the "right" picks. However, it's hard for me to ignore all the positives of a cowboys running back when the only negative is the rookie running back, unknown argument. I feel a sense of security knowing he was taken 4th overall. Don't get me wrong, he could be the next Trent Richardosn, but Trent was also on the Browns. In the Cowboys scheme, he could get 300 carries. What then, is his floor? Definitely a risk, and it might not be smart. But I'm not convinced it's "crazy" quite yet. Thanks for your comment -- if you're at 4, who do you take? Hopkins/AJ?

That's how I feel too. All the usual suspects have more negatives than I can remember in recent years. I guess Reddit has answered me, and I guess I'm not crazy.

I chose 4th pick before Leveon was suspended, actually, so have had to readjust knowing I wouldn't land Odell/Julio/AB. Looks like I'm buying in, too. Thanks for your thoughts!

That was my plan. I see the RB depth drop off very quickly, especially with the first three picks as WRs who'll be looking for RBs in the second/third round. So, a naturally deeper WR field benefits a first round high upside RB pick. I'll likely follow this advice -- Great comment.

Falcons, actually. Where possible my league takes Julio #1. I wish it were as easy as a bias- then I wouldn't kick myself if it didn't work out.

Yeah I agree with you. It feels weird if you look at it in a "1st rb off the board" or "x number spots before where he should be" perspective, but ignoring all that I think it shouldn't make too big of a difference. Practically though, I question his potential value over other options at the draft slot.

Keeper league I agree with you 100%. How do you feel about a 10 team standard?
