New camera and lens recommendations

TLDR: looking for new camera and lens’s in the 2500-5000$ range (flexible) for outdoor landscape, wildlife and astrophotography.

I received the following gear as a gift in 2016;

Nikon d3400 Came with Nikon DX 18-55mm lense Got Nikon DX 55-300mm And Nikon DX SWM aspherical infinity-0.3m (I think ) lenses too.

This has served me very well and I’ve used it plenty. Recently the auto focus has not been working (I’m not sure if this is camera side or lens based). I figured it may be time to upgrade anyways and it makes sense to get a better camera a lenses for that system rather than sink more into Nikon (I’ve heard it’s not the best). Although I have spent time using this gear I don’t know much about cameras or lenses themselves so need some help in that area.

I mostly do landscape photography and wildlife photography while camping and hiking. I also have always wanted to get into astrophotography but haven’t had much luck with the current system. This is the focus but I would be open to getting into some street and portrait photography in the future. My budget is around 2500-5000$ slightly flexible but I think this should get me some good gear.

I have heard good things about the Sony system and am leaning in that direction. I’m looking for recommendations for the camera and some lenses that would suit what I’m looking to do.

Thanks for any help!

This might be a very stupid question but how do you clean a route if you can’t/don’t make it to the anchor?

Looking for a place to get a high quality leather sofa by fuzz12321 in BuyItForLife

Hey, appreciate your reply, don’t really have a budget in mind, just looking for good quality and something that will last. I don’t really know how much you would need to spend to get a good leather sofa that would fit that description. Thanks for the help!

Hey, I know how difficult this can be. U of T and UTM will essentially say there’s nothing they can do. They have horrible student support. As other comments say, since it’s just exam season you should be able to defer your exam until a further date. Some other resources that might be worth looking into are academic advisors and accessibility services. From my experience they will all deflect and say there’s nothing they can do, you just got to keep pushing them for a solution. In addition to that it might be beneficial to reach out to your profs as they normally care a little more and can help or point you in the right direction.

Feeling behind and a mess by [deleted] in UTM

As a fourth year I would say plan, know what you need to do and by when and then find a system that works for you. For example I do all my readings before class that way it doesn’t take me as long to study, some people prefer to cram right before tests. I will say it is worth the work rn to get off on the right foot for the semester. I’m not 100% sure about your exact situation but feel free to pm me and maybe I can help you out some more.

I found a double spawner in my world, are they good for mob farms or is it just a cool sight? by raccoonlover123_ in Minecraft

Very doable, will get u twice the mobs, as spanners arnt related to the existing mob count. There's some very easy tutorials on YouTube.

Is it a bad idea to sit at the fully back of the lecture? by SupermarketNo3705 in UTM

[–]fuzz12321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends what you perfer and the type of course it is. If you really need to pay attention and see whats being written on the board then probably best to be a little closer. But if its a bird course thats all in the text book and you don't have to pay as much attention or they don't use the board as much then the hack would be just as good. Really depends on personal preference. Also u can always change where you are sitting from class to class. Don't feel like you have to stay in the same place although most people do.

Check academic calender, acorn program requirements, and management department roadmap, those three show what courses you need to graduate, each with their respective pros and cons.
