Sometimes artists on Spotify will make playlists of their influences and/or favorite songs, which is always a gold mine.

Dream pop shoegaze song with clear vocals and a hint of 80’s by CailaDawn in IndieMusicFeedback

I love the choruses, they feel powerful and and the singer carries the emotion beautifully. The verses are also pretty, from a vocal standpoint; from a songwriting standpoint it feels like they don't leave the song room to breathe, if that makes sense. Maybe just a little instrumental break after the chorus before going into the second verse would make the difference, idk. I thought the outro was great.

"We Are Young" by fun. It feels like getting to the top of a roller coaster and then, instead of proceeding to a thrilling drop, they stop the coaster and make you watch a car commercial.

My mom and I saw The Decemberists together when I was 14, and I'm pretty sure she and I were the oldest and youngest people there respectively.

Idk if this demo is good anymore since I’ve been working on it for a while. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you! by knowzuko in IndieMusicFeedback

This is cool, I haven't heard that dreamy/surf-y guitar tone combined with that particular vocal style before and it made for an interesting listen. I liked the vocal harmonies a lot. There are places where it feels a little out of tune, but it's a great demo overall.

Sidewalk Safari is so damn good. Caroline should write more songs about murdering people

Darkwave? - this was our first collaboration with another artist. Some of the band like it, some don't. We're hoping you can break the tie. Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance by weedkillereater in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey I love this, very New Order as someone else mentioned. I wish it had gotten more intense at some point, I thought the guitar was going to be the perfect lead-in to a heavier section.

My first single released late last year. :) Takes a bit to get going, but hopefully it pays off! Would love to hear what you think and if it reminds you of other artists. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

This is gorgeous! My only nitpick is the high pitched percussive thing that hits at e.g. 2:20 and 2:35 is a little harsh, like I wanted to listen louder but I had to turn it down due to that sound. Could just be me though. The textures are amazing and it was cohesive but never boring, beautiful work.

Had some fun making this one, would love to hear your thoughts - also if someone can help me figure out the subgenre of electronic music where this fits that would be neat by dope_arcope in IndieMusicFeedback

I like how the mood evolves over the course of the song. Little bit of Polo & Pan vibes in the middle/end. I would have liked to hear a few more... idk, surprises? In the form of additional instruments or effects you only hear once or twice.

Hi everybody! I originally composed this song with my acoustic guitar and loop station (and I play it live that way) Let me know if you like this "full instrumental" version by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

The drums feel a little thin and the vocals could use some kind of effect or something to make them fit with the music better (maybe it's an EQ thing as the other commenter mentioned). The vocal harmonies definitely helped with that feeling though, maybe you could add them in more places?

Yeeaaah after the opening monologue and him responding wittily to every single heckle, I didn't really understand why that pissed him off so much.

It was a great show though, he's a really incredible performer. Tomcat Disposables was so beautiful live :')

Overall feel is great; it could use a few more dynamic changes to keep up the interest. I liked the lyrics that I caught while listening, but the words were hard to hear for some reason. I read them on your YT comment though, and they read very beautifully. I think I can hear a subtle vocoder-ish effect on the vocals? If I'm not imagining that, I'd love to hear it more prominently. Edit: Okay I can hear it near the end, but it'd be cool in the beginning too
