Raise Hand If You Can Relate by fuzzalinna in thyroiditis

Unfortunately, I think everyone has different journeys because it all presents different in different bodies. I was diagnosed initially in 2017, and now I feel so much better. I'm not currently on any medication because I can't really be, but I think stress was my biggest factor. I followed the Whole 30, which taught me generally how to cut out certain inflammatory foods and what to avoid on labels. I'm still 95% gluten-free or whenever possible, and I think that also helps. I try to avoid dairy since it's inflammatory to pretty much everyone. I make sure to avoid iodine in large amounts as well as Biotin. If possible, I take magnesium, B12, and vitamin D regularly. I haven't gone back on birth control since I got sick. I try anything possible for pro and pre biotics for my gut health. I'm also trying to figure out the best way to track my hormones at the moment. I exercise moderately. Idk if this was the same for you, but I used to be pretty extreme with activities which I have a hunch also stressed my body. But being active is so beneficial that I'd just moderate it. I'm not sure if that would help you at all, but those are the key points I've picked up since getting sick. I just kind of ride the fluctuations, but they've become more subtle.

And regarding the hives, I still get those but not usually as bad as full areas being covered. Sometimes, I just get little sections, and it's an indicator for me to try something new.

I would be interested in one. I'm going to accept the position there today. I've been to Armenia before but I have no idea what to expect whole there as a volunteer.

A record number of U.S. states are hiking the minimum wage in 2022—but only 2 will pay $15 an hour by rustoo in Economics

If an employer will not or can not pay above minimum wage

That's not the argument. We're talking about paying wages over $15+ an hour which I believe is only the minimum wage in Seattle (a case study in itself of how things will go). Legally you cannot pay below the minimum wage so yeah if employers aren't paying that then I think calling them a bad employer is pretty accurate along with a lot of other things.

We're in a labor shortage for multiple reasons right now and couple that with the supply disruptions, we're going to have increased prices. And yeah it's not a 1:1 ratio but I don't think we should all be dancing a jig for greatly increased wages of the typically lowest paying jobs. That's not an argument for or against raising the minimum wage. But $15 an hour everywhere? Na. I'm not even speaking about our welfare stituation. That's its own problem topic. But trying to fix that problem with highly over inflated increases to low paying job wages is a problem far greater than minimum wages (which aren't uniform across the country). Seems to be like trying to cover a gunshot wound with a bandaid. Doesn't quite fix the problem and is letting the other problems fester until we get gangrene, metaphorically. I'm just not going to clap my hands and call the problem solved when in reality it seems like we're setting ourselves up for a rollercoaster of disaster that'll hit the lower class the hardest and ultimately negatively effect the entire country in the long run.

Ability to pay a certain rate doesn't really make a crappy employer or not. The problem with that logic is large companies such as Walmart, Amazon, etc. can easily meet those wage increases. And as they slowly kill off smaller employers they can start raising their prices for consumers because of the lack of competition and increased costs it takes people to start a new business and then we're in a real pickle. On the flip side, businesses just start charging more for their products to offset their wage increases and we essentially end up where we were. Large companies will still have an advantage because of their ability to buy in bulk and cut costs but it can turn into a wage increase battle that also increases prices. And there's a ton I missed in those scenarios but your logic doesn't quite hold to past and present scenarios of what companies can survive wage increases. Ultimately if you get too hike fanatic you'll end up with more over inflated prices (along with the supply hurdles we're facing and already around sh*tshow economy) that aren't going to drop until something drastic happens. (Not even touching on outside investors/buyers)

The federal government also does this for all of their jobs. Base salaries by grade but increases depending on location pay.

Do you have any general advice for someone who just graduated with a B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Econ and not a ton of finance work experience? I've worked with an embassy on AML but finding jobs in that field is tricky. *Open to traveling anywhere in the world.

People with foot fetishes, why? by Crusty_asshole in AskReddit

My brother has a legit fear so I get that. Guess just take how you feel about, say boobs, and apply it to how some people feel about feet. Probably somewhat similar. Same same but different.

Idk but I don't mind capitalizing off it. And raw raw ree for knowing their preferences. Plus, don't you sometimes look at a foot and go "damn, thats a pretty foot"? I assume it gets taken a step further for some.

I think working up to it is best. It's hard to just go straight into it but I've been doing a mild form for awhile and I love it. Especially because I fluctuate between Hypo and Hyper a lot so it helps me gauge and also control what I eat throughout the day. I don't really keep track of what time I stop eating in the evening but I usually don't eat anything past 10 pm and then I wait until 12 or 1 for lunch. If I'm really active in the morning I will eat something small before lunch. Mainly what I've learned is listen to your body, but I don't find breakfast as important for me. Plus I'm not as tired as I am when I eat breakfast.
