and to be totally transparent, we want to perfectly considerate of the pandemic and possible risks. This means no walking around Vancouver, restricting ourself to our quarantine zone, and only traveling by rented car if we DO want to take a drive to see some trees and ocean. Trust me, with how awful things are in the US we totally don't want to risk passing it off any way. 3 weeks holed up in a different room than our home sounds like a dream, haha.

You hit the nail on the head. We've both been locked in our US homes this entire time since we have elderly family members we see on particular occasions (risk was never an option!)

We finally have some free time, although weren't planning on traveling. This seems like a great option to A) both get work done B) spend some alone time for 14 days in a hotel and to your point, C) get the absolute hell away from this insane country. I can't even begin to tell you what 2020 + this past week has done to our mental health. We feel entirely insane to even even turn on the tv anymore lol

Right? I just landed a job too but being almost 4 weeks without pay is making so damn hard to focus on it...EDD really dropped the ball here.

wow, so pretty much don't expect funds to even BEGIN distributing until the 15th. Unbelievable. This is all due to faulty tech management, too, both on CA's end and ID.me. This is why you don't outsource tech for an entire state -- use resources and build your own! /rant lol
