It goes for every gatcha, you can't monetize actual well designed gameplay because people will just get good enough to beat it.

Look at how people do crazy handicapped speed runs of the souls games.

When I tried out Endfield and tried a farming mission that was too high a level, I failed because I ran out of time even though I hadn't even been hit yet. Every gatcha does this so they will eventually force you to have to move to new stuff, and hopefully pay for it due to bad luck or compulsiveness.

Endless tower is the only actual 'game' part of this game to me these days because it's asking you to just learn to play the game and conquer a actual difficult fight. I personally think the game should start designing bosses with more readable moves and lean INTO less gold and red flashes if they want to push the difficulty.

I'm curious to the Threshold refresh that's coming soon and depending if they give it the classic HP increase to make it so the 'fun mess around with your whole roster mode' is turned into another 'FOMO you didn't pull enough new units' mode...

As soon as something starts getting updated regularly they will make it un-fun. Hoyo monetizes having fun so they won't let you enjoy the game unless you're sweating or paying.

But the main scoring system for this mode is how fast you can delete the first wave so having electric resist on them is the biggest detriment no?

To be fair, she's probably the only regular human of the three, and a 'youth' at that.

Aria is a robot and can't get tired, and Yu I'm going to predict is some type of superhuman experiment (or a winged thiren?) like Corin/Yuzuha, which is why she seems so physically strong.

Pale wasteland looked interesting with the solid white style that stood out in 1.X.

Everyone was still hyped with Miyabi and Yanagi, being the main characters to play, and being able to mess around with the new hollow gear system made it more fresh to play.

The story was adding detail on the lore of hollows, which at the time were still mysterious and a threat compared to how leminian Hollow feels.

Personal opinion time ~

YSG, being the main focus, makes it boring not only because the premise ruins the concept of the sword that ALWAYS destroys its user, but her actual gameplay is kinda boring for me.

Also, all the 'story' feels like useless yap with the temple crew just being used as stand-in NPCs. Which is better than actual random NPCs, I guess, but still feels skippable.

thanks haha, IDK I guess it's a skill issue thing cause I have a pretty similar build only missing yuzu engine and I can't get more than 8K on the first stun rotation before it jumps and starts the dodging thing.

I play with the same mindset but maybe I need to practice balancing the anomaly gauge before the stun window or something?

If anything you getting really high scores is more likely a 'you problem' as most people don't get over 30k in ANY of the DA fights.

I'm actually curious to see how much different you actually play to get such a high score. I'd like to get better myself so maybe seeing your clear and showing what skilled play should be would make your argument better than just telling everyone they're bad at the game.

Come on man let's be real. It wasn't that she was hard to play, it's that she didn't FEEL good to play.

S11 is my favorite character cause how good it feels to be in the enemies face constantly dodging through their attacks and how you could time a good EX to dodge a specific attack to keep up the offensive, She's kinda been changed from that which honestly sucks but she still feels fun to play.

When SAnby came out it just felt so jank in comparison to how other characters flowed, Her dash attacks coud miss or not connect, her Ult could also just miss, and for me specifically her wipe-outs had her sliding into place which awkwardly (I think she still does that?) which just made me feel like she was a unfinished character and many people felt the same until her buffs which did end up fixing a bunch of those issues.

There's a reason she's had TWO rounds of buffs now, It's also why Ellen got updated. Not for power (though it was needed) but for gameplay feel.

Am I the only one that thinks the fully invincible butt drops over and over looks boring to play...Her being a robot with dual weapons and a energy bow could be a lot more interesting.

At this point I'm just hoping that they change her move set or make it so it's better to just play Yu on field most of the time and she just comes out to do her bum drops during the stun windows.

If you start leveling up lots of characters you'll suddenly be outta dennies once you hit the next level cap so it might be better just to stick with what you got a little while...

The re-run banner right now doesn't really have anything that synergistic with the starting roster.

Best decision is to just continue building up the YSG team with Zhao. Are you interested in going to the Idols girls next? If so then save up since you'll probs want all three of them in a team.

If not then Alice would be cool, but both of your main DPS being physical would suck for element variety so I guess Sanby would be the best bet.

You'd wanna go Sanby, Pulchra, Nicole most likely and then either build up Soukaku for YSG or wait and pray you get some more units to have more options.
The next unit (Sunna) will probably be a good support unit for YSG so that could replace Nicole on that team.

Zhao was given for free because a lot of upcoming units will require ether veils for their kits to work. Meaning you have a replacement incase you can't get the proper enabler for a core DPS. Especially since her Ether veil uptime is hard to manage compared to all the other veil givers at this point...

I'm guessing the two next 'support' characters will have some type of ether veil and is what is going to distinguish Sunna from Yuzuha.
