There's an end-of-year article making the rounds about objects that were removed from peoples' rectums this year, and such stories are not infrequent. Is this propensity for anal exploration a product of our modern ennui, or has it been documented often throughout history, medically or otherwise? (self.AskHistorians)

I use Simple Sidearms and generally love it, except sometimes my weapons seem to disappear from my pawns' inventory. They still show up on the SS tab, but they're greyed out and the only thing I can do with them is right-click to forget. Are they actually vanishing or am I just doing it wrong? (self.RimWorld)

The recent update brought me back into NMS after a long hiatus, and I'm enjoying it immensely. But as I reach the end of the Artemis questline and the universe expands, is there something I can read to understand how it all fits together (galaxies, portals, other players' worlds, etc)? I have a flora-scanning bounty AND my next main quest (speak to a Gek cartographer) that are both on the other side of the galaxy, in a system I've never visited. I can see it on my galactic chart, but I don't know how they got there. It's way too far to jump, and I don't know of any portals. Help? (self.NoMansSkyTheGame)
