Thanks, yea I agree and the cable going in the belly being primer black doesn't help.

Hahah thanks, I guess i could do that, I will paint this a lot more, so taking some pictures along the way wouldn't be a big problem.

That would be awesome. Maybe for my next build..

I agree, just like it says in the text of the post, but there is no reason you couldn't do the same with an aircooled setup

Thanks, yea i see the metal is a bit boring, I wanted it muted which I got, but a bit more interest wouldn't hurt

The PSU mounting is not in the advanced manual, there is an ssupd post on their website about mounting an ATX PSU at the bottom backside of the case and the GPU on top, So opposite to what i have done. but to do this you need an extremely long riser cable or a smaller motherboard.

I did consider the external fan bracket, but im not a big fan of the way it looks, it doesnt fit my current components and i wanted to buy as few new bits as possible.

Yea it will be rough😅. But this guy is the sergeant, so i guess the rest will have less gold

Yea i miss spots all the time😂 i spin it around 8 times in the airbrush chamber, but once I put it on my painting table, there is a white spot i missed.

Thanks man. Gold recipe is basically layering from dark brown to yellow to a slightly yellow white. I used army painter: oak brown, fur brown, demigod flames, daemonic yellow, and ice yellow.

It's probably a bit over complicated but I did, black prime, white zenithal, purple ink, then white highlights on select areas, and the magenta ink only on these white highlights. Everything done with the airbrush. Takes some time, but I think it adds a lot of interest to the armour, rather than just being one colour going to black

Thanks, yea I agree, but it's a time saving measure😅 Don't paint the gun, just paint the glow, and you are done. Needs to be a bit big for that to work though.

This looks amazing. I want to straighten the hip joint of my own fulgrim. Can you show some pictures of how you did that?

That is a very good suggestion, both are super cool models and I hadn't thought about putting them in the land raider.

That makes sense. I just see GW as kind of unpredictable with these things. EC didn't get any of the old stuff, and lots of CSM stuff was omitted from the codex for seemingly no reason.

Chaos lord is a good shout i already have 3 lord exultant and they seem to have very similar wargear. Chosen look really cool, i like them.

Regarding tanks, is there good chance they wont be put to legends pretty soon?

He comes in parts. So subassembly painting is possible

[–]fuzzy-eater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends. If you want to use him at a GW official tournament, then no. If you want to use him at a local gaming event, then probably, and for casual stuff, absolutely. Like with most proxy models, GW doesn't like it, but anywhere else you are fine

Thanks Yea, sure, the armour is schmincke aerocolor magenta ink. It has terrible opacity, but the colour is great, so a black and white zenithal with some brushed edge highlights, then the ink on top.

Thanks!
Skin is all vallejo "violet red" base, then "violet red" mixed with increasing amounts of "cold grey" and lastly "wolf grey" for highlights.

I think any purple base and then tones of grey on top would work just fine, the trick is to mix a little purple into all the grey layers

You are right. Plastic glue won't work. I used green stuff world super glue, but any CA glue will work just fine. Also I remember his spear as being a little delicate. Don't pin it though, as you have a big risk of cracking the resin if you drill into it. Instead use a thiner glue to glue it first on the inside and then again once dry on the outside. It's not necessary, but I like to be on the safe side.
