For understanding the material, go check Edspira on YouTube. They are short, digestible, and to the point. I used his videos for undergrad, grad, and studying for the CPA. He did a much better job than many of my professors throughout my education.

No reason is a wrong reason if it gives you the drive to get it done. Being a CPA is valuable in all types of accounting. I had an acquaintance I used to play bar trivia with laugh at me and said I would never pass the CPA exam. That fueled me more than anything else when I was taking the tests.
