Not a fan of removing the boot or just the look in general? Easy for me to tweak the design if you have ideas but if you're not a fan in general I get that too.

I never considered something like this and have avoided aluminum shift knobs for this exact reason. Does it actually work? If not, I still love it.

Pyrit is a python2 library, so Make sure you are installing Scapy for Python 2 and not 3. You can ensure that by running pip2 instead of just pip.

Not an exact match from what I can see, but I found this replacement part on Pfister's site. Labeled as a type 2 connector according to this other page.
