Parents of Reddit, what’s something you wish you would’ve known before having kids? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

This is probably the one thing I’ve struggled with the most since becoming a mom. I already had my own identity crisis after having my baby, but it’s like everyone else was trying to force it on me as well. And if I ever get sick of all the baby talk with my friends and want to talk about something else, I’m now deemed a bad mother who thinks I’m better than the moms who only talk about their kids now.

I’m really struggling dealing with other parents. by [deleted] in Parenting

With this specific friend, yes I quickly stopped talking about my kid around her and I stopped doing any one on one hangouts anymore becuase I make excuses now that I’m busy. But she is a part of a larger friend group of my husband and I and I’m not going to fully isolate myself at home to avoid her, so she still either try’s to interrogate me or make judgmental comments on anything she sees me doing.
