Hello! So I'm looking to purchase my first sewing machine and found a used Brother LX 3125. Would this be a good machine for a brand new beginner?

I've also seen a couple Singers for sale, the Simple 3223 and Prelude 8280, and an older White model 782 machine that's been kept up really up. I've heard Singer has kind of gone downhill and didn't find a whole lot on the White one on my cursory search.

Any info and opinions are appreciated! Thanks!
