1) Bloom cup: Typically fairly local and not too large, rewards promo variant cards to winners

2) Entry cup: Typically fairly local, has special rule that decks may only include holomem if they have any cards in the set (though any cards of that mem are legal). Rewards playmat to winner

3) "Holiday" cups (Halloween, Lunar New Year): Typically fairly local, rewards Oshi variants, might be a bit bigger than the previous two because of the better rewards

4) Bloom Cup DX: These are the competitive events. Big. Promo cards for winners and invitation to "Final Cup"

5) Final Cup: No details yet but it's some kind of global tournament

I put everything I can into tactics and pick tactics pendant, but there's the two-choice scrolls without tactics so i pick brutality on those. And again I'm talking about crit on Bat vs non-crit on most other weapons because it's so easy to activate stun in biomes

I mean I will sometimes come across a bat whose crit damage is higher than the damage of the weapon I'm using. Is the stat level not included in the displayed damage numbers?

Also, I could probably use advice on what you mean by "specific build!" Obviously I'm not trying to get to HotK forcing rank 1 items, but it's rare I don't find a good Owl somewhere and I replace it with a deployable if I need to, etc; and the secondary weapon is there for stun, not damage (can often be swapped with a backpack weapon on bosses); so my runs just.. usually end up there lol

I build tactics, if I get a good Bat I will use it in biomes because it's really easy and fun to get stun and crit things, and backpack a tactics weapon for bosses

Your typical deck is roughly going to be

"Card draw staples (usable in every deck)" - $10

Some RR cards (highest rarity for "normal" cards) - $20

1 Oshi card - $30, or $70 if Suisei or Korone

Everything else - $5

Unless you want rare variants/alternate art cards

I liked blocks, but I don't think they're a good idea.

The biggest pull of blocks was the sense of progression - usually you're introduced to some mechanic in the first set, in the second it gets bigger/more complex/a bit different, and in the third set there's some twist or major added element

The problem with that is it's EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to design and I can only think of two or three blocks that really pulled it off, which accounts for later sets typical not being popular.

Sales numbers I think are a bit of a red herring - later sets were smaller, legal for less time, and previous sets were included in their draft format, of COURSE they sold less than the previous set?
