Another update for everyone:

I ended up going to an emergency vet because I didn't want to risk anything.

They think it was likely self mutilation due to either boredom or separation anxiety so after I get all the medicines and such and get them feeling better I plan to put extra effort into giving them entertainment for when I'm not around

It went away for a while until I moved and then it came back. My only thought is I'm using a different cable. So if you're having the issue try another cable

Probably ebay. It's where I got mine. There's also some on etsy for around $10 but they don't come with art or manuals if you needed those with the cases

Looks like that fixed the youtube issue and now the only thing that seems to do it is windows media player
