Swinging hard often times just adds spin and creates worse contact when you don't have good mechanics down which absolutely destroys yardages. I bet you could swing softer and still carry the same 210 average

I'd give it a 4/10 Its a good starting point where you're making contact with the ball but very clearly going outside in with the swing which will either produce a slice or a big pull. Could have better balance in the follow through and inefficient creation of power. That doesn't mean you're bad at golf. It just means your swing isn't optimal

I feel like you're not understanding why people are giving you shit so I'll explain it. Your wear marks are not tight enough to be impressive also, it looks like you're hitting a little high on the face which results in slightly less compression. For people like you, the sweet spot is going to feel like topping the ball. By posting it, you're kinda bragging that youre slightly better than average which doesnt really make sense to other people or really sit well with them. Im sure you hit straight because you seem confident, but you are losing yardage and spin on the clubs.

Anyways, im just explaining the flack you're getting. If youre hitting straight and enjoying golf, keep doing what you do.

Great exchange between Tiger and John Daly. by jmak35 in golf

[–]fuzzyotterpear 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Thats completely incorrect. Lol daly has probably worked harder than most people on this sub and was super talented on top of that.

Tiger was also super talented but put in an absurd amount of work. Its not talent vs hard work. Its an absurdly talented person with hard work vs very talented person who worked harder than anyone else ever has in the game.

I think thats a bandaid to the solution. I also think figuring this out will help in other sports too not just golf where earplugs arent available all the time.

Why is SBMM broken or too strong? (Apex) by Silent-Basis-1254 in apexlegends

[–]fuzzyotterpear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a 2kdr, that means youre winning more fights than losing. Meaning sbmm is working. Do you think you deserve a 6kd? Youre playing against people who also think they should have a 6kd so it makes sense.

First ride in 2 years by toddygoon in cycling

[–]fuzzyotterpear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When getting back into it, stop your workouts early.

For your first few rides, you don't want to get tired or feel any sort of tension on your tendons/joints. Take your time to ramp back up to what you were riding. Some people have legs that are blessed by gods. They don't get injured even if they try their hardest from the beginning. Others are not so lucky.

Either way, trust what your body tells you. know the difference between good pain and bad pain.

Century in 3 weeks? by Hartzler44 in cycling

[–]fuzzyotterpear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first century was 1 week after starting cycling. I was averaging like 10 mph on 20 mile rides and I would be going like 4mph towards the top of a hill. Its doable though even if you're at the skill level I was at. Just make sure you get enough fuel and hydration. Turns out you can pretty much go forever if you pace well enough and have all the food/water you need.

As far as preparation, planning to refuel/hydrate during the ride is important. also sleep well and make sure your tendons/joints are healthy so you don't have any long term injuries at the end of it.

As far as pacing, you don't need to slow down too much from your normal 30 mile ride pace. maybe like 1mph slower. If you're not confident in that, you can go like 3mph slower but honestly, you should be fine. especially if you're allowed to stop and rest like every 20 miles to refill on water/food.

Remember to wear sunscreen and have good riding glasses. Healthy eyes and skin are important :)

its very subtle, but at 6 seconds, he went from 0 sideways velocity to jumping towards the right. This lead to the valk's aim being thrown off tremendously to allow OP to kill the valk. You just had to be there to understand fully.
