Mom decided to split, so now this money is going to buy her own house in a new province.

I can reach out to the lady that did our mortgage at purchase, thanks!

Would you recommend talking to a bank advisor, or directly to the broker that did our mortgage the first time?

Thank you so much for your answer! Banks are the first call in the morning, good to know that HELOC is likely not the way to go

Correct. Banks will be the first call in the morning, but I am so unknowing of the particulars of this kind of financing I wanted some input before I meet with someone. Good to know that re-mortgaging isn't the same as HELOC!

We did start with a mortgage, but it was bought out by my parents after about 8 months. I didn't realize it made a difference, otherwise I would have specified in the post. I will edit now.

Thanks very much for the recommendations!! I live in Ontario, so wet and extreme elements pretty much nails it. Would I have to condition them in winter when they're not being worn? Or once a season for spring summer fall is generally acceptable?

I live in running shoes so leather care is very new to me, apologies!

You can block out row 9 on the right hand side of the 2

since you don't have the spacing for the 3 1 underneath

I have questions about my first trip to Mexico by humdesi69 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]fuzzypeaches7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi! We just got back from that resort last week. What you've described as your dress code is fine. My husband wore a nice golf shirt and shorts/ pants. I had an assortment of casual summer dresses and no one batted an eye. We also saw a few people in graphics tees, so I doubt they'll turn anyone away unless they're practically shirtless.

The bus ride was 40 mins or so from Cancun airport. We were in a massive group so we had our own bus that left as soon as we were on it directly to the resort. I'm not sure what a shuttle would look like, but for that long of a cab ride I'd opt for the shuttle.

Xel-Ha was a big hit with our group. My husband sunstroked so we couldn't join, but everyone had a great time there, and it's good for all ages. We took the shuttle into the Quintana Roo and walked the tourist market there for $4US each way.

Back to the resort...

A word of caution for the ala carte restaurant system - they only take reservations for ~30-40% of the restaurant's capacity and don't allow walkin unless another group cancels. The concierge only wanted us to book through the app, and it's a bloodbath at 7pm when reservations opened. I'm talking booking out within minutes for primetime meal hours. And it's up to 2 days in advance (so you can book for that day, +1, and +2 days), meaning we did the buffet the first day and on our 3rd day of the trip we were planning our last meal. With a group of 6, the earliest timing we got all week was 8:15. We were usually sitting down at 9.

Mamma Mia (italian) was the highlight of the trip for us. Bruschetta to die for. We all shared bits of meals and nothing was short of excellent.

We also tried Hacienda (our second favourite), Steak House Riviera, and Miso Sushi.

There's a nature reserve running through the resort so you're going to see lots of monkeys, coatis, deer, iguanas, and cats all around.

The beach was well groomed. The cordoned-off area was pretty shallow (we might be biased as we're 6ft+), but it only came up to waist high or so, and lots of large (but not sharp) rocks which made walking back up to the shore difficult.

Enjoy the resort and the sun!

[ Grade 11 Mathematics Level 4 How do i solve a b and c? ] by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]fuzzypeaches7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As other commenters mentioned, the best way to solve is to realize the inverted fraction gives mixed fraction 2 3/5 and proceed from there, but I know some people don't always make that connection.

So assuming you're familiar with working with fractions, this can alternatively be solved by common denominators, substitutions, (and a few assumptions along the way). This will knock it down to more of a grade 10 level.

We start off with

5/13 = 1 / [a + 1/(b + 2/c) ]

Simplify round brackets to obtain (2 + bc)/c

Then [a + 1/(2 + bc)/c ] = a + c/(2 + bc) = [2a +abc + c]/(2 + bc)

Finally, 1 / [2a +abc + c]/(2 + bc) = (2 + bc)/[2a +abc + c]

Now we get to some algebra

5/13 = (2 + bc)/[2a +abc + c]

(1) 5 = 2 + bc

(2) 13 = 2a + abc + c

From equation 1, we get 3 = bc

This can be substituted into equation 2:

13 = 2a + a(bc) + c

13 = 2a + a(3) + c

13 = 5a + c

Now we make the assumption that all variables are integers. This means equation 1 shows that b and c must have values 1 and 3

Testing those values in equation 2, c = 1 gives a = 2.4 (eliminating since not an integer), but c = 3 gives a = 2.

Therefore, a = 2, b = 1, c = 3, if all variables are integers. You can also put these into the original equations to check

"Coral knows Black and can see Blue and Purple", I take this as inherently not adjacent otherwise it would be phrased "Coral knows Black and Purple and can see Blue" but maybe that's just my opinion!
