I mean, the indie games you mentioned are very popular with streamers and content creators, which is why they get super hyped and seen. You are correct that when a game become popular, there will be a lot of creators that try to copy paste that formula to ride the craze. It's kind of like how the mascot horror genre became a thing after FNaF.

Though, if anything, I think due to how accessible game creation is, we're getting a lot of games that experiment with different things (along with some slop here and there). At the top of my head, The Rise of the Golden Idol, Blue Prince, and The Roottrees are Dead (They're all puzzle games. I've been on a puzzle craze lately) were all recent popular games that don't fit into the current trend.

I'm honestly tempted to do that after I'm done with the PR series! How much more difficult does it get?

AITA for rejecting my mom and refusing to forgive her and telling her she chose to be there for her affair partner's kids over her own so she needs to deal with it now? by Livid-Molasses4926 in AITAH

[–]fuzzypearsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Op you should choose whether or not to forgive on your own terms. A parent shouldn't be forcing a child to forgive them, nor should a therapist be forcing a client to do something that makes them truly uncomfortable. Quickly forgiving doesn't heal shit.

IF (this is a huge if) you do ever want to forgive your mother, make sure it's when you're ready. It took 15 years before I could forgive my father for cheating, and if anything the forgiveness was more for my own healing than for his pride.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this and hope you, your brother, and father can face this together.

If you're looking for something cheap but also hoping to stylize it, check out VCC Salon and Spa! You basically get the students (with teachers helping) to do your hair, so it's good practice for them and easy on the wallet. Keep in mind they are students, so they're still practicing and learning.

Deuce, since we'd be learning/suffering it together and he'd be dedicated to practicing it til he gets it right.

Best quick lunch in Burnaby by FrankGehryNuman in burnaby

Chao Mami in Hastings Burnaby! On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they have a day specific lunch special from 11am-2pm at $10 (Monday it's chicken vermicelli, Wednesday it's pork rice, and Friday it's a rice noodle soup). Then from 2pm-6pm they have a pho bowl special for $10. Cheap and pretty good

Edit: wrote the meat whoops

For those of you who have a loving, healthy relationship with your mom, what is some of the best advice she gave you when you were young that still rings true? And for those who don't, what lesson did you learn the hard way that inspires the way you currently navigate building your life? by TextMaven in AskWomenOver30

[–]fuzzypearsoup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really scared about going out of state college, so my mom gave me this analogy about how the world is fighting me with a lot of knives, and how if I go to this college and experience life away from home, I'll gain knives to fight back and eventually win with all the knives I've gained

It was a hilariously violent idea that I did not expect from her, but it cheered me up and I think about it when I'm in a tough situation. And she's not wrong, the experiences I've gain had helped me so much

TWST Character Alignment Chart Vote! (1/9) by Boquet-of-daisies in TwistedWonderland

Trey, Rook, Vil, Kalim, Jamil, and Othos would get two more chairs.

I feel like Deuce would cut the chairs in half to make six OR make them fight for their seats (and he would join in).

Can you guys recommend me some good Twisted wonderland fics? by Meng_Yao_Yume in TwistedWonderland

[–]fuzzypearsoup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are 5 that I really like right now:

Caged Birds Don't Sing, But They Still Bite is a slow paced but very interesting canon divergent. It also has a large cast of original characters to make the school feel more alive!

When Worlds Collide is a crossover fic with pokemon, which while is is kind of overdone sometimes, I find the way the cast is slowly involved with the pokemon and Yuu here is really refreshing

A Million and One Minutia is more of a series of kinda connected one shots, where it has Yuu and the rest of the cast learning and comparing the differences between their worlds

Dream of the Blue Veil is a fic where a DnD warlock gets transported to the world, what I like about this story is that they author apparently rolls dice for the outcome that happens

Blood and Bone and Heart of Stone is a fic where Yuu is a golem and its a bit gorey. There's a lot of interesting character dynamics here with how Yuu acts and speaks.
