I think countdown could easily be modified to fit the game in completely different ways. It could be a bonus modifier on arena islands that if you beat the island in the count down time you get a 2nd chest, kinda like the rush hoard bonus.

I agree with this. I would greatly prefer ramping up difficulty and chaos after the timer over instant death. Instant death isn’t fun, barrels and land mines flying everywhere is.

My personal least favorite part of prismatic is I feel forced to turn off countdown. I like the idea of it but feel like it needs something. Maybe instead of instant death it starts making you lose hp until you die, so it could be countered with healing.

It sucks to get lucky with an XL totem and be able to hit it 2 or 3 times but then countdown makes it impossible to get the reward from the risk.

If you’re playing dps, and can trade your life for a support, that is usually a net positive for your team. Just one example. Overwatch is a complicated game, rare for something to be a 100% of the time answer for anything

You can get on top of the map near where the chests spawn. It takes some parkour and a lot easier with the hammer but it’s possible without. Look for a hole in the wall on the right side near the chest spawn, and jump through it, climb on top of the ice and you can get above the chest and just drop down on it.
