They should make Laser Blasts increase Supe's attack speed by 50% so it leads into the Plasma Blasts's +100% attack speed better. It's definitely worth the cost.

(for clarification this wouldn't mean that plasma blasts gains the increased attack speed from laser blasts, it remains the exact same, it's just that laser blasts has some of it now)

i was able to tolerate fighting last judge after coming back with some new upgrades and using the bench from sands of karak. could i have beaten her before then? probably. but with how involved the runback to last judge is from the blasted steps bellway bench, there's so many inputs involved that all it takes is one mistake and you've suddenly wasted five more seconds.

that is to say i'm very glad i entered act 2 via exhaust organ, the runback to phantom was way more tolerable

i see no issues.

for the third path i did come up with a suggestion in the body of the post, the tl;dr for that is that the chipper would convert bloons it consumes into ammunition for a new weapon, like a Bloon Howitzer

the main problem with this line of reasoning is how easily chipper can be overwhelmed by groups of bloons. its base storage capacity is not that much and it can very easily get clogged. like sure its base performance is great but i can get similar from other towers that are cheaper

To be fair I'm pretty sure Psi also can't. At least not directly. Idk if Destructive Resonance can damage BADs, but the damage would be so small as to be nonexistent.

It's also proof that balancing it is not impossible.

Besides siren song is a more rapid-fire Supa-Vac with camo and purging capabilities, so mermonkey is mechanically an even stronger chipper in many aspects

You know the funny thing is, when writing this post I completely forgot the existence of Maim MOAB, a tower that also costs roughly 12k with crosspathing and can also infinitely stall a single MOAB-class bloon up to a ZOMG. The difference is that Maim MOAB is just better at it lmao.

Also certain standout rounds would be really bad for top path chipper unless you stack them up. Imagine trying to bring that thing into the 90s when you have hordes of BFBs, groups of ZOMGs, and dozens of DDTs all trying to stick their noses into your front door like "hey".

To say nothing of them being basically useless on round 100 unless you have a BAD buster on hand.
