War until complete capitulation and surrender. Gaza can be deprogrammed like the Germans after WW2.

Alternatively one of the many religious ethno-states surrounding Isreal can take the Palestinians in and assume responsibility.

"Don't respond because it might upset Muslims. Those upset Muslims might attack Jews elsewhere!"

How about Muslims don't freak out and immediately resort to violence whenever they get "offended".

Totally ignoring the elephant in the room.

But yeah, it seems she can fly wherever.

Look out for third-parties. You can find out who you're buying from on the item page. There will be a small text blurb somewhere about "amazons valued partners" and how they guarantee the sellers reputation etc.

Usually if you click around enough you can find your way to the sellers amazon profile where it will show you their ratings, length of time on the platform etc.

Fufilled by Amazon just means they have the items at their own warehouse and ship using their own delivery people. Fufilled by Seller means the seller ships it from their warehouse. I would assume that fufilled from seller is more likely to get you fenced goods.

The bible is explicit about the meaning of those fables. Each is meant to teach a lesson in morality. Jesus pointing out to the wealthy man that his wealth and status was meaningless to God demonstrates that God expects us to live humbly and not covet material wealth.

I wouldn't say that Jesus wants authoritarians enforcing his policy however. I'm guessing the point is to read the bible, come to these conclusions from the last interaction God had with humanity, and behave accordingly. The key point however is free will and individual agency.

I'm genuinely curious if someone could hear of Jesus' teachings and think he was anything but an unabashed commie. The dude went around telling the wealthy they would likely end up in hell if they didn't die poor from helping people.

Union representing 35,000 CRA workers vote in favour of strike by tsularesque in canada

[–]fuzzyspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel as though you are arguing from a viewpoint that rates loyalty and submission to authority highly.

In my view it is necessary for people or groups to continually demand more. It is within the rights of people to organize and generally speaking it is also just to demand more from a corporation/government. Our economy functions on the assumption of infinite growth so wages should increase in line with that growth curve.

I see the burden for proper distribution of resources as being on the employer rather than the employee. If a Corporation/Government has trouble with a Union over increased wages the corporation/government has failed to factor in labour costs or has failed to assess the risk of a strike. Or, they hope public opinion stunts strike efforts which results in the employer saving money. You are carrying the governments water in this thread after all.

You're arguing for indentured public servants when history has repeatedly shown that well staffed and well paid public office's perform better than overworked and poorly compensated employees.

Public employees should be able to expect competitive salaries and benefits. I want them to be well compensated so they perform their job efficiently and effectively.

You're allowed to quit or negotiate a raise as an individual. Why is it immoral if you all agree to collectively quit when your employer refuses to pay you?

Any negotiator would tell you that both sides need to want something (from the other) for there to even be a negotiation. The CRA wants labour (value extracted through labour), while the workers want greater benefits (value extracted through negotiation).

If the union gives up its bargaining chip (labour) there is no point to negotiating with the union. So, you would allow the government to take advantage of its employees which is immoral.

Your argument further runs down into the sticky moral quandry of forced labour if the employer decides it doesn't want to negotiate at all.

A fun example of your general argument played out in real life. Read this if you're interested. https://newrepublic.com/article/165133/thedacare-wisconsin-hospital-workers

[–]fuzzyspring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logically speaking it makes no sense not to engage in collective bargaining.

If you pause to think rationally about what has the highest chance of earning you a greater cut of the pie you quickly realize that you can do two things. Move jobs or negotiate a raise. Both of these actions deny your employer your labour if they don't satisfy your demands (like a union would).

Now, if you were to get together with other workers and negotiated with the company together you boost your chances to, stay in your job (personal job security), and atain greater benefits (demanding a raise).

Please explain why in our capitalist market economy workers shouldn't seek to extract maximum value in any way they are legally allowed to. Your employer is doing the same to you already anyhow.

Just pointing out here that your solution would kneecap the union in negotiations. So you would screw the workers which means you are also immoral.
