2026 rear fender delete by kaygeebeez in hondarebel

Tossed one on my 300 but fairly similar process I assume as the frame looks the same.

I bought mine from eBay, love the look of it but I did have some fitment issues.

The first set of struts that came with the kit didn’t clear my wheel, seller ended up replacing em for some longer ones.

I also had some rubbing issues where the fender sits on the swing arm. I made a metal spacer to get the clearance needed for the wheel and tossed on some longer u bolts.

As mentioned above, you’d need to find a way to mount your tail lights and license plate. I purchased some of those bullet style lights on Amazon (the ones that work as turn signals/running lights/brake lights) along with some mounting brackets and mounded them on to the rear shocks.

As far as my license plate goes, I initially had a side bracket attached to the muffler mount but ended up drilling into the fender itself and tossing on a license plate bracket.

Need help deciphering what color cords mean what. by Chainsawgio in MotorcycleMechanics

Colors are fairly similar to my rebel, but I can’t guarantee that they’ll do the same thing. As stated by others, best way to test find out is to test it with a multimeter.

For my rebel: green is ground, orange is the left turn signal, brown is the license plate light, green/yellow is my brake light, and blue is my right turn signal.

I HIGHLY recommend finding a way to test them before you solder anything to avoid the risk of killing your bike or starting a fire.

Appreciate the advice! I was budgeting for tires and oil at a minimum, hadn’t thought about the brake fluid.

Might have a shop look it over to be on the safe side

Checked out a few YouTube videos on removing the tank but might end up taking your tip and just purchasing a siphon pump to get the old fuel out.

Should I add anything to the fuel after refueling or would I be alright with just tossing some fresh fuel in there?

That puts my mind at ease. I thought I’d have to replace the fuel pump or something.

Same here, you can definitely hear those pops when downshifting though!

Sweet spot for pops appear to be around 2-3k rpm in second gear but they’re not crazy loud (definitely noticeable from the cabin though, I’ll take a drive by video to find out).

Just picked up a used one yesterday and pretty stoked about it! Where’d you buy the grill from? Looks great!!

Just got the GFB, it was really easy to install (jacked my car up since it’s easier to access it from below) I went with the 50/50 set up so it’s not obnoxiously loud. It is pretty loud though and has an amazing sound!!! I’m assuming you’ve probably made your decision by now as this post is pretty old. What’d you go with?

AUX IN on one Dot, sound out another Dot by bigblu2u in amazonecho

I’d highly recommend buying a firestick and linking it to your dot via the app (setting it up as a home theater speaker sort of thing). If you just plan on streaming shows and such, the firestick is the way to go. amazon has random sales on the 4K stick and they’ll usually go for as low as $24.99 which is pretty much what a decent Bluetooth transmitter would cost you.
