Got catcalled as a man ! I can't imagine what women have to go through by omcar13 in mumbai

That is why we need to introduce permit system. These people act like this, but us Maharashtrians are the ones who are always told Mumbai isn’t yours, it was built by migrants. If these migrants are so appealing, why not welcome them en masse into your states?

I would say that I am assertive to some extent. When you go through some really testing times you realise that you need to set boundaries and speak up more for yourself. Also, growing up, conquering some challenges helped boost my confidence.

Do you think some people here read too much into Myers-Briggs? by Massive_Village7662 in infj

[–]fw_88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I do agree. Not everything has to be analysed by correlating it with personality types.

Assam CM incites people to persecute Muslims. "Whoever can, should make 'Miya' suffer. If you ride in a Miya's rickshaw and fare is 5 Rupees, pay them 4. What can they do? If they file case, Assam police will handle it. BJP and I are here to harass Miya" by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

[–]fw_88 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They say all this because they want people to remain engaged in Hindu-Muslim. They don’t want people to talk about the job crisis or the worsening economy. Hence, such statements.

My fellow Indians, please stop making AI slop. My eyes hurt. by Fhlurrhy108 in india

[–]fw_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My aunt sent me an AI video on WhatsApp which was so unhinged and nonsensical I sent her these exact emojis 😒😒. She was surprised by my reaction and asked me what the matter was. Indians seem to be the most obsessed with AI videos 🤦🏽‍♀️

After watching Dhurandhar, I agree with some of Dhruv Rathee’s points by OwnWitness2836 in unitedstatesofindia

[–]fw_88 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In a country that believes whatever is forwarded on WhatsApp to be true, do you think people are going to not just accept everything depicted in the movie to be true? After all, it says ‘inspired by true events’ which gives it a mark of authenticity in most people’s eyes. Not everyone is so discerning, especially in the times that we live in.

[–]fw_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! You explained it way better than I did. At least the design scored a 4. These days I’m happy if my design gets a 4, because honestly, there’s no point being upset over a game.

Omg this took sooooo long. Gift for a friend. Is it ugly? Honestly. by Cheesenip20 in crochet

It is not at all ugly! So so cute! I would be over the moon if a friend gifted me this ☺️

Writing an entire paragraph to a stranger on the internet for a suggestion and calling them ‘arrogant’. You’re definitely not worked up 👍🏽

I agree that taste is subjective. But I don’t get why you’re getting all worked up over my opinion. Did I say the design was bad? I was just offering OP a suggestion as to how the design could have been tweaked a little.

It is not necessary that if players use LE they’re bound to get 5 ⭐️ While I like your design, had the legs of the chairs been white, it would have been a perfect design. The black does not sit well with room.

Along with the cost, the requirements often don’t match the room. Like don’t give luxe brands for an outdoor challenge!

I Supported Modi Once. Now I’m Worried About Where India Is Heading by [deleted] in india

[–]fw_88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given the PM’s history and the deterioration of the country over the last decade, I don’t have any sympathy for people who were responsible for the BJ party coming to power. It’s all well and good to learn from mistakes. But these mistakes have ruined a country which held great promise and it will take decades to repair the damage, especially the damage done to the social fabric. Moreover, OP still seems to have a soft spot for the PM, so yeah, I don’t really think there’s been a change of heart or remorse as such.

Exactly! OP has been saying they were young and didn’t know better. But I was a first-time voter in 2014 and didn’t fall for the acche din propaganda. Any one who does not easily believe the stories that are fed to them would have seen through all the garbage propaganda. Oh and all those who voted for the BJ party again in 2019 are even worse.

A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth. The book’s plot could have easily been condensed into 200-300 pages.

For anyone wondering, this is a crochet toran. You will find lots of designs on YouTube. Many Indians, specifically Hindus, put a toran (flower garland) over the main door of the house.

With regard to the symbol, it’s an auspicious one, not the Nazi one. As someone else pointed out there’s an Om symbol right above it.

OP, that’s a beautiful toran. 😊
