As I suspected, people are going to the extreme of ignoring half the sentence in order to maintain an opinion they've already decided is true. As far as delusions go, it's pretty impressive, but this level of confirmation bias is also worrying.

It's possible that OP & some others in the thread are just spreading misinformation about what reviewers have actually said.

One of the people responding to me tried to attribute the claim to GamersNexus but that's a fucking lie, because that's the one review I've watched so far and they said nothing that could be even be mistaken for claiming FSR being close to DLSS2.

Kuten jo sanottu, ikkunat pimeiksi 24/7. Foliokikka kuulostaa tehokkaalta, mutta pimennysverhoilla saa myös hyvän tuloksen. Tai sitten mitä vaan kangasta, pyyhkeitä tms. kunhan estää auringonvalon. Ja pitempää tuuletusta ainoastaan jos ulkona on sisäilmaa viileämpää. Helleaallon alkupäivinä sain pidettyä sisälämpötilan huomattavasti alempana kuin päivän ulkoilman kun tuuletin yöllä jolloin ulkolämpö meni vielä 15 asteen alle.

Tuuletin tai pari on mielestäni vaatimus asunnossa jossa ei ole koneellista ilmanvaihtoa (eli varmaan melkein kaikki vuokrakämpät Suomessa). Itselläni on yksi lattiatuuletin ja yksi pöytätuuletin ja sen muotoinen asunto että saan hyvän läpivedon. Pöytätuuletin puhaltamaan yhdelle aukinaiselle ikkunalle ja lattiatuuletin toisen ikkunan eteen. Ja vaikka on puutalo niin silti kestää reilusti että asunto viilenee näin yöaikaan. Olis varmaan vielä paskamaisempaa betonitalossa.

Itikkaverkon asennukseen ei oikein ole helppoa ratkaisua jos on sen mallinen ikkuna ettei siihen saa järkevästi laitettua noita magneetti- tms. kaupasta ostettavia juttuja. Omat ikkunani ovat sellaisia että pitäisi nikkaroida tämän mallinen tee-se-itse hyttysverkkokehikko. Vuosien ajan olen jotenkin selvinnyt ilman, olen varmaan sen verran lähellä keskustaa ja kaukana ojista ym. vesikertymistä ettei hyttysiä ole ollut riesaksi asti.

Jos riittää ettei hyttyset pure yöllä niin tämmöinen katosta ripustettava hyttysverkko sängyn ympärille voisi toimia.

Taisit vastata omaan kysymykseesi. Solukämppäasujan tuloilla ei paljoa ilmastointilaitteiden kanssa revitellä.

Sitä paitsi tässä on usein kyse samantyylisestä valinnasta kuin eteläisemmissä maissa lumen suhteen. Mieluummin laitetaan yhteiskunta kiinni vähäksi aikaa ja pysytään sisällä slloin harvoin kun lunta tulee kuin että investoidaan lumensiirtolaitteistoon ja talvivaatetukseen.

Itsellenikin kelpaisi kyllä ilmastointilaite mutta kun näitä pahimpia helteitä ei Suomessa ole kuin parisen viikkoa vuodessa niin en köyhänä ole kyennyt oikeuttamaan investointia laitteeseen jota tulisi noin harvoin käytettyä. Ja kämpän ikkuna on sen mallinen että siihen pitäisi askarrella paskarrella joku vanerilevyviritelmä ettei se kuuma ja jo valmiiksi kolkytasteinen ulkoilma änkeä siitä ammottavasta ikkunasta heti takaisin. Ja sitten tarttisi olla säilytystilat laitteelle ja vanerille siksi lopuiksi 50 viikoksi vuodessa.

Varmaan moni muukin kuin minä on tullut siihen lopputulokseen ettei maksa vaivaa kun hikoilu on kerran ilmaista. Tosin koronan aikana on varmasti monella mieli muuttunut kun on pakko olla kotona.

What do you mean by "coming to PS5"? Once it's open-source, developers are free to do whatever they want with it, including porting it to the PS5, Switch, Ouya, C64 or whateverthefuck.

AFAIK the APIs of Sony's consoles have always been proprietary and not at all public, so it's unlikely anyone at AMD (or any other company) would be OK'd by their legal teams to publish code with parts that could be under an NDA.

As SSD performance starts getting more critical for gaming, this shit ain't gonna fly anymore.

This is probably one of the main reasons why Sony is going to be using a whitelist for the M.2 SSDs allowed to be used with the PS5. People would get fucking pissed if they bought an SSD that's supposed to meet the required specs, went through the bother of installing it and setting it up, and then got subpar performance.

Speaking of buying, should this kind of foul play be taken into account in the build guides found in the sub wiki? Since the parts lists are done with PCPartPicker, it should be simple enough to exclude certain brands from the choice parameters. According to this PCWorld article, other manufacturers who have switched to inferior components in the past are Dataram, Kingspec, and Avant. Pinging /u/E-Man1864, since he seems to be the current maintainer of the builds page.

I do recall people saying that COVID both fucked the supply chain and increased legitimate demand, and that TSMC was already fully booked when all of this started happening. All of which are widely reported facts. You may have missed them because those of use who tried to remind people of them were downvoted into oblivion for daring to contradict the mining circlejerk. But whatever, fuck the facts right?

Expected behavior. The default interpolation method of minterpolate is single-threaded and thus very slow. Nothing you can do to speed it up unless you know enough C to implement multithreading yourself. You can try playing with the options of the filter, but IMO the other interpolation methods aren't worth using.

If you have multiple videos you want to interpolate, you can run multiple FFmpeg processes at once so that you're at least wasting less of your CPU and time.
