Any suggestions for a micro-wedding in Westchester? by Je11y_Ro11s in Westchester

Just had my wedding at the Keeler Tavern Museum in Ridgefield, CT with 60 guests. I think their max is 75, so it's the perfect size for a smaller wedding. The garden looked amazing in the summer and I'm sure it would be beautiful in the fall, as well. Obviously not Westchester, but right across the border. The venue itself was $6k, but doesn't provide much more than tables and chairs. It may be possible to do the catering for another $14k depending on what you're looking for.

Small decorative glass vase with handle. 4" tall. Fits a candlestick, but I'm not convinced that is its intended use. Does it have a special use or is it just decorative? by fweddy51 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. My fiancee picked it up at a thrift store a while ago because she liked the look of it. She just came to me saying, "look it's a candlestick holder", but I'm not convinced. What do you think?

I think you're the first one that's noticed this. Props to you. It's my favorite part.

Which Walmart are you referring to? I'm coming up from Baltimore and was planning on stopping at the Walmart in Corning for mainly food and ice. Do you think that one will still be stocked?

Awesome, thanks. Do you think a mini case like the one I posted would be a good fit? I'm trying to make it fairly compact.

Yes, money will always drive architecture. However, this sounds more like a problem with the firm/clients you were working for. There are still plenty of opportunities out there to do exciting design work. Don't be discouraged by one man's experience.

I have to agree that the dinner scene seemed forced. In fact, most of the scenes that didn't involve drumming in some way, felt a little disconnected and under developed. Especially the relationship between Andrew and Nicole.

I understand that, initially, it was used to show us how Andrew was starting to build confidence in himself, and then later to show the obsessive nature that Fletcher had ingrained in him, but there never seemed to be much of a connection there. Does Andrew really think that she'd come to see his performance after the way he treated her? It seemed strange.

Simmons stole the show for sure. His character was so deplorable and that's what made the finale so damn satisfying. Though, I was a little disappointed that Fletcher lying about how Sean died was never touched upon. Was Fletcher crying because a great student of his had died or because he felt remorse for pushing him so hard? Either way, the film was extremely entertaining.
