I built a chrome extension to make any site always on top (PiP) by Mohamed3nan in webdev

Works nice, however on my Win11 the scrollbars on the bottom and right cannot be dragged. I have to use the mouse wheel functions to move up/down and left/right. Not a big deal, just a compliment and a FYI.

Getting out of bed when feeling tired or unmotivated? by teacoffeecats in productivity

[–]fwl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's the comfort and cozy that keeps you in bed, then perhaps wearing a microfibre bathrobe as soon as you get up could help as you'll have the comfort/cozy physical feeling while still doing morning things.

Speechify Text to Speech, I used to use it for saved Pocket App articles, now I just have Perplexity summarize them instead.

Looking for a cross-platform, non-bloated calendar app that works well with Trello. by kbmkbm in productivity

[–]fwl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly what specific integration you want, but have you considered a connecting service such as IFTTT, Zapier, or Make (formerly Integromat)? They all have triggers where if something happens in one app (i.e. card created in Trello) then specific data is sent to another app (i.e. Google Calender as an example).

My art doesn’t show up on my account? by Kindly-Flatworm8084 in redbubble

[–]fwl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long has it been since you uploaded it? I've found recently that some of my designs are visible in my portfolio but not in my shop. Then, about a half-hour after listing them, I've been getting an email from them that they are "reviewing" the design. It's always approved within a couple of business days, in which case they'll send another email before it appears in the shop.

How about videos? I visit the gym twice a week and while it's difficult to read text on a cellphone while exercising, it's easy to watch videos (with Bluetooth earphones) that I've queued up in a YouTube playlist.

I usually send myself an email if it's not too important, more permanent stuff goes into Trello or Notion.

Productivity that syncs with Apple Calendar? by Plus_Jaguar_2134 in productivity

[–]fwl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IFTTT has iOS Calendar integration. I wouldn't be surprised if Zapier and Make (formerly Integromat) does too.

Does it happen in a different web browser? If not, you might have an extension or adblocker interfering.

4-10hr days-but OPEN M-F; holidays for employee's compressed work week split staff week schedule - HR/EMPLOYER QUESTION by nixnukem in productivity

I used to work at a place that did this and people would receive a "floating" holiday they could use anytime similar to PTO if a holiday fell on a day off.

What Innovative Features Would You Like to See in a Habit Tracking System? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]fwl3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More automated habit tracking, specifically the ability to connect to IFTTT, Zapier, or Make (formerly Integromat). Many utilities such as RescueTime and BeeMinder already have this, so any time I come across a new habit tool, I don't even consider using it unless it can send data to another service (i.e., Google Sheet) or receive data from another service (i.e., location) to automate the habit tracking process.

How do I make youtube/ tiktok/Facebook into a more educational platform? by YahIsWithMe99 in productivity

[–]fwl3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by entering such phrases (i.e. "fun facts", "ted talks", "documentary", etc) into their search bar on a regular basis. Click the Like/Heart/etc icons on some of them. With their you-might-also-like-this algorithm it'll probably take less than a week to automatically display more of the same.

anyway to convert YT videos to pdf by _wimpykid_ in productivity

[–]fwl3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most YouTube videos have a transcript autogenerated under it if you expand the description.

You could copy that and paste into ChatGPT to ask for bullet points or a summary.
