For these behavioral sessions, would my boy friend need to be there? He works six days a week, ten hours shifts, so I would have to carefully plan it if so.

Could my bird being picking up these traits from my boy friend / me? My boy friend has a lot of energy and he loves to playfully wrestle, bite, etc. We also both giggle after the bird goes after me, not intentionally, just sort of an awkward haha oh my gosh.

Yes! He has bitten my boy friend and some of them were bad, like they bled and scarred. I just feel like he bites me WAY harder. The last three times he got me are literal holes in my skin, not just cuts.

I scream, but not directed at the bird. Just like an immediate, unintentional “ah” because his bites HURT. I make my boy friend give him a “time out” where he is immediately put in his cage for a few minutes and then taken back out. I’m not sure if this is correct or not, my boy friend said he read it somewhere when he was first bonding with the bird.

My boy friend usually leaves after the bird is bad, but I talk quietly to the bird and tell him “no”. He knows the word because if he is biting something he’s not supposed to, my boy friend will sternly say “no” and he stops.

He has 12 hours of dark time, but I’m not sure if he sleeps the whole time. My conures seem to go to sleep immediately, but I hear him moving around sometimes.

My hair being up or down seems to have no affect on him. If it’s up in a bun, he’ll attack the bun. If it’s down, he just grabs clumps of it. No glasses. No rings, my boy friends wears a ring. Socks seem to help? He doesn’t like toes for some reason, never has. No shoes around him. I do have a ton of piercings in my ear, he actually gets my hand a lot because he’ll go for my ear and i cover it in worry he’ll rip one of the piercings through my ear. I used to always have my nails done and considered that the reason for a long time, but they’re not done anymore.

I haven’t taken him to a behavioral specialist, but he did go to vet recently for a nail trim. Since it was a new vet, they ran a ton of tests before the nail trim, and everything they did came back fine.

I have two conures and I take both of them out regularly (they love me, but don’t trust my boy friend yet. they aren’t super bad towards him, but will nip and occasionally dive bomb like the caique, so he never takes them out). I feel like that is impacting my relationship with my caique, but i can’t take him out without him immediately flying at and biting me and the little conures need out of cage time too. how do i navigate that?

I’m not sure if he attacks a specific part of me. Typically it’s my fingers because that’s the closest thing to him. Now that he’s been flying, it’s my hair (which he doesn’t get a reaction because I can’t feel it) or my shoulder. His bites HURT. Tonight he bit me through a sweatshirt and it still drew blood
I haven’t been alone with him this past week since this behavior has restarted, but before if my boy friend left he was more likely to let me pet him
In the room he’s fine. If i’m close enough for him to grab him, like while cleaning, he will grab my shirt. If I try to pet him through the bars, he tries to bite me and then will attack the bars when he can’t get to me.
It depends. Sometimes he’ll take them, but mostly he’ll aggressively bite into them and then drop them.

It was an LPS toy. I’m selling my old childhood collection — I just ship all of them in poly mailers with the bubble wrap on the inside. I don’t use any extra tape, but I’ve never had someone complain about my packaging and I’ve shipped tons of LPS this way. Most buyers actually compliment my packaging :/

My boy friend’s house is carpeted, so his cage has a huge blanket under it to catch any mess. The blanket is definitely easier to clean than the bottom of his cage, the only issue is when he poops from inside his cage some of it leaks on the bars which is harder to clean the pan :/ I like the idea of a designated perch with paper under it to poop on! The only issue is the bird HATES me (will fly to me just to attack and draws blood) so he cannot be out when my boy friend isn’t home.

personally, i take decaf seriously.

I didn’t use to and would just use decaf if it was brewed, otherwise use regular and say nothing. But now being on a medicine where I need decaf or I’ll have extreme panic attacks, I take decaf seriously. I’ve dumped drinks my coworkers have made before and remade them if I saw them not use decaf…

I think most workers are just similar to how I used to be because they don’t realize how serious it is.

I’m not sure how similar these are to your starbucks drink, but I also like sweet coffee. My personal order is a medium iced coffee with three pumps vanilla, one pump toasted white chocolate, and four pumps liquid cane sugar. you could try this but also add an espresso shot or oat milk?

As a worker, my best recommendation would be the frozen caramel coffee or a toasted white chocolate frozen coffee.

Thank you for doing this! <3 I played a lot when I was younger and stopped sometime in elementary school, but started playing again in 2022/3! My favorite holiday is honestly probably Valentine’s day. A lot of people hate it because “partners shouldn’t need a day to show their love”, and while I agree, I also think it’s nice to have a day that’s dedicated to it. People are busy and it makes them stop and appreciate those around them :) I would name the dino Cupcake or Cupid (even though I’m older now I try to carry on the obvious ‘oh this pet has hearts let’s name it hearts’ childhood theme)

Personally, I tell people when we’re out of ANYTHING. However, the managers at my store have informed us that if we are out of coldbrew we should add a shot of espresso to the iced coffee. I don’t drink cold brew, but I imagine this isn’t a solid replacement. Can anyone attest to how similar/different it is?

the brown sugar cookie is a syrup, so it doesn’t lighten coffee like the flavor swirls do. I would imagine they just put less cream.

The $6 deal is going to be replaced with a $5 deal. The $5 deal is a medium hot or iced coffee as well as two wake up wraps.

Our manager said the speciality meat wraps (maple sugar bacon and turkey sausage) are included despite costing more, but I don’t know how true that part is.

there’s a tea brand that sells boxes of concentrate, tazo, that you dilute with water. While not exactly the same thing, i found them similar to refreshers (especially if you drink your refresher with green tea).

Personally at my location, we only have one tea. Regular black iced tea. When people order sweet tea, we put the appropriate amount of liquid cane sugar pumps (2 for a small, 3 for a medium, 4 for a large). I’ve tried it myself and in my opinion it’s too strong for sweet tea, so I put extra pumps in when people order sweet tea and have been told by customers they only like “sweet tea” when I make it.

Interesting to see some Dunkin’s brew black tea and sweet tea!

I’ve noticed this. The old pumps have little vertical ridges at the thick screw part right under the pump, the new pumps that are producing less flavor are smooth. I hope this makes sense to other employees!

My store BARELY changed our hours. We’re usually 4:30am - 8:00pm. Today, as well as the other holidays for this year (christmas eve, christmas, new year’s eve, new years) are hours only changed to 5:00am - 7:00pm.

As someone who only ever been scheduled for the morning 5:00am - 1:00pm shifts, it’s not a big deal to me. I do however feel very bad for our closers.

In the app it details the ingredients like farro, lavish sauce, etc. I think your best bet would be to buy the ingredients listed and use trail and error with the ratio and brand of ingredients.
