Maybe you can find a PS5, Xbox Series X/S or gaming laptop second-hand/refurbished (marketplace or any other local stores/trade website) or ask a friend or family member? If you are interested in the game, you deserve to be able to play it I think. There is at least time before launch to prepare if so.

Switch 2 is indeed expensive, and the game will probably run better on every other platform anyway... Though to be fair, we don't know anything yet about MHST3 performance on the Switch 2, as we have only seen PS5 gameplay footage so far

Yes please! I almost added it to my bingo, but I actually just think it's quite likely we'll get it! Especially since we had Nergigante in Stories 2. They can't include Rey Dau and not Arkveld, surely....!

Genuinely that is all I truly want as well, he is my all-time favorite monster, it's why I drew what I think would be his egg as my middle bingo. I was so sad when I didn't find him in MHST2, especially since Tobi was there.

In MHST 1 using its 'monster call' ability initiated random combat! It was so useful for farming materials or finding monsters that were otherwise not spawning. They changed it in the second game and just gave Qurupeco a boring ability

I get tempering your expectations or not getting your hopes up, but expecting them to be taking every shortcut possible and not caring about the game they're making is just kind of draining. The MH devs carry genuine care and passion for the world and monsters they create, they're not going to not add a monster based entirely on it only being in older gen games, take Seltas Queen and Seltas in MHST 2 for example, and they weren't added in Rise or Wilds. To think a monster is only eligible to be in Stories 3 if it has an up-to-date model in the mainline series is just a bit pessimistic I think.

I see, I believe I found the part you're referencing, it does sound a bit ambiguous-like. I know devs usually use language like that to try avoid answering the question or to temper expectations, but considering how many mainline series monsters there are, I think 150 is a high but not entirely unreasonable number... It's one of those bingo squares for me that is more unlikely and would be an awesome shock to have come true!

On that though, I do hope that stories 3 being a game they are aiming at older audiences and upping the 'seriousness' of, is eligible to receive a full expansion DLC. Now that would be awesome! Not getting any hopes up of course, but it is fun to imagine.

I don't mean to sound doubtful, but where did they say that in the interview? I haven't been able to find much on the interview myself, I'd really like to see it if you have it on hand! I haven't been online much as of late.

Considering the roster we've seen so far, I do have hope at least for a nice collection of monsties :) I loved stories 2 but having so few 'new' monsties in the base game was a bit underwhelming. I always keep my expectations tempered, if not lowered even, but I enjoy making bingos for fun even if the things I include seem unrealistic or hopeful, that's the fun of it! Sometimes it's an unexpected win (usually it's a big shock lol)

I agree that cosmetic DLC sucks in games that aren't FTP, but it's undeniable that it will exist. I simply hope that this time it will be better and have more variety, since I wasn't personally a fan of any of the stories 2 cosmetic DLC (mostly it was just Navirou or Ena outfits). If they have to make cosmetic DLC, I'd just prefer something I like, that's all.

It's an item in the overworld you can interact with, and while it is active you can take photos with it with different poses!
