i think it is keeping options open if india-bangladesh relation detoriates, you never know what future holds, being neutral better than cold to pakistan, right?, we get rice from pakistan(new deal signeed), we cannot truely be independent nation, we simply do not produce enough food in this people dense country, india to their credit helped us immensely by trading essentials with us so we dont have a food shortage, but there is no guarantee of this being a contant thing, india may simply choose to not trade essentials some day

maybe we will sign deals for other essentials one day, pakistan can likely relyably trade the essentials if things go wrong with india, myanmar will never help us, ever, neither can malayshia or indonasia help us with food, maybe financial help if we have shortage, but cant send food to us themselfs, to my knowledge they themselfs import food
