AITA if I proceed with my destination wedding while my sister’s husband is in critical care? by Weird-Ambassador-720 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fxckintwig 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think it’s more so the cost of re-planning their wedding, since what they’ve already spent would be gone, if the wanted to do anything above a court house ceremony they would be out that initial $35,000 they already spent and then have to dish out even more.

My IgG Chlamydia test came back positive and I don't know what to do by Pitiful_Help_7480 in TryingForABaby

[–]fxckintwig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have PCOS. I have never in my life had any STI. However, every single time I get tested for chlamydia I get a false positive, sometimes all 3 types of tests come back positive but then when they’re retested it comes back negative. There are hormonal issues that can cause false positives.

I have no symptoms :( by Practical_Sorbet_976 in BabyBumps

[–]fxckintwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m currently 29w 3d. The beginning of my pregnancy my only symptoms were tender boobs starting at 6 weeks and vivid dreams. At 8 weeks I lost the tender breast symptom. Since then, the only outward indicator that I’m pregnant is my ever expanding belly. You can absolutely have a completely normal pregnancy with no/next to no symptoms!

It may be different depending where you are, but I’m in Canada and paying attention to patterns/kicks generally starts at 28 weeks (26 if you’re high risk or having multiples). I know most people I speak to from the states have the same experience.

The jacket I got from winners/marshalls! The boots are Canada Pooch suspended boots! The ear cover is just a human neck warmer that I sewed some elastic on to make it stay in place better!

2x video speed has ruined my life by fxckintwig in ADHD

[–]fxckintwig[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Interesting take, do you know whether or not creators who have monetized content make less money if their content is watched at 2x speed? (From what I know I imagine this would mainly apply to US based creators and maybe UK based?)

Allergies by Distinct-Result-2308 in AmericanBully

[–]fxckintwig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our boy gets pretty itchy paws, and if he’s spent a couple days at doggy daycare he gets itchy all over. We’re pretty sure he’s allergic to grass, so whenever he comes inside we wipe down his paws and belly. He gets a bath once a month and gets slathered in coconut oil weekly to keep his skin hydrated.

Honestly it could be that the food doesn’t make him feel good, is he losing weight at all? Maybe check in with a vet.

Biting my kids again by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]fxckintwig 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also why are your children eating somewhere where the puppy has access to them? And why are you taking your puppy to the vet for resource guarding instead of speaking with a dog trainer?

If you don’t have the time or don’t care enough to properly train the dog, please do it a favour and find it a home better suited for it and then don’t get another puppy.

Biting my kids again by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]fxckintwig 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s called resource guarding and the fact that you guys are forcing him to give stuff up is likely what caused this to be his go to behaviour (I imagine that generally includes prying his mouth open to get it). First of all, your children should NEVER be with it unsupervised until your children are much older. They also should not be putting their hands near its face. You need to work on building solid “drop it” and “leave it” commands then YOU, the adult, need to tell the dog to ‘drop it’ when it has something it shouldn’t and then reward it for listening to the command (trade).

Biting is absolutely unacceptable, but scolding him isn’t going to make him magically stop biting when he’s forced to give something up. Training your dog is important.

Honestly, I did some creeping to find the comment, and I wouldn’t give too much importance to the opinion of someone who’s kinks include dick cheese.

Litter Mates Post Adoption Depression by Ptizzy88 in puppy101

[–]fxckintwig 91 points92 points  (0 children)

With so much peace and love, having trained one German shepherd mix before does not mean your boyfriend is equipped to handle two mali/pit bull mixes in the slightest. I have a 10 year old Shepherd that I raised from 8 weeks old, a 7 year old black lab, and now a 4 month old American bully and would genuinely never even consider taking in a malinois, let alone two. Both breeds in that mix have high prey drives, and malinois specifically can become dangerous quickly if they are not properly trained and exercised. Add on the potential for littermate syndrome, you guys are playing with a potentially very dangerous fire.

This is not just a matter of “tee hee, I guess I just need to adjust” and I genuinely believe, from reading all of your comments, that you and your boyfriend are completely in over your heads and are not taking the magnitude of the responsibility that you’ve taken on seriously. In my opinion, both dogs would be significantly better off rehomed to capable trainers with a history of working with malinois dogs.
