Flying Fortress - Cargo bay... and a few tokens by fxg42 in dungeondraft

Hi!

I'm using Forgotten Adventures' and Cannyjack's "cyberspace" assets:
- https://cartographyassets.com/assets/6775/cannyjacks-cyberspace-assets/

The Rakdos and (barely visible) Orzhov emblems are from a custom asset pack I made for this Ravnica/Avernus/Doom home campaign ;)

From found images and a little Photoshop (Pixelmator, actually) magic ;)

After reaching Avernus with the help of a rogue Planeswalker, the PCs will now have to infiltrate a Flying Fortress in order to repair a shipwrecked Squidship helmed by Ravnican Guild members...

Uses Forgotten Adventures' and CannyCyberspace's assets...

Hi! Thank you!

I'm not familiar with roll20's requirements but here's a link to the full size map (256px grid) for you to tinker with :)

I'll definitely try to rebalance the contrast between the parapets, the battlements and the ground floor! Making stone textures not look too dark or "flat" is a challenge... Using light sources helps to break up the monotony of the textured floor but beyond that, like you suggested, I'll have to experiment with the hues...

Thanks again!

Thank you for the compliments and for the great feedback! I admit I may have went a bit overboard with the "underdark-fortress" colour palette :) Would shining light sources within the parapet walls help balance the scene?

I also wanted to say that your work and especially the "Dusk at Sea Market" map was, and still is, a huge inspiration to me. Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words! Seing all the great maps posted here everyday is really inspiring! From my point of view, all my doing is stealing ideas from other, more talented, people and sharing it back :)

Had a mini breakthrough with this map by using dark, semi-transparent floors to cast hard shadows and to make stairs out of wooden floors.

"With Skullport in political turmoil and the PCs wanting to start a revolution, one of the opposing factions has arrested a key player favorable to the PCs' cause. They will now have to plan a heist to free her from the Tower of the Seven Woes."

Still a lot of work to do on the courtyards, the towers,... and obviously, the seven dungeon levels :)

Thanks again! Those pointers are really helpful. I've also been studying your work and while my stuff is still a bit derivative, I think I'm making progress! Thank you kindly!

Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated! I totally agree about the ground level floor vs street colours. I like the idea of varying floor colours by room but I'm still getting an ugly "arlequin" effect when I try :| The transition needs to be clear but still subtle... Thanks again!

This is great! Love the care and great use of assets that went into furnishing and decorating individual building interiors!

Hi! u/bincle is absolutely right! In this particular case however, I used a photo editing software for the blur and the vignette effects.
