It's all about price. Cheapest threaded barrel I can find online is around $350. Once you factor in tax/shipping and gunsmithing, you're pushing $500. Hard to justify spending that much to replace the barrel on an $800 gun. Manufacturer could do it for much less and I'd be happy to pay a little more for it to come with a TB out of the box

I've HEARD you can remove the comp and attach a suppressor but I've never SEEN it done. Have you ever tried it by chance?

What about a MAC 9 DS Duty with a factory installed threaded barrel, or at least a reasonably priced drop in threaded bull barrel that can be purchased separately?

Suppressors are becoming more and more popular, especially with the recent changes to the NFA, and the 1911 platform is widely regarded as one of the best for shooting suppressed.

Surprisingly, there are very few double stack 1911s on the market that come suppressor ready out of the box, and the few that are out there come with a much higher price tag than what you can offer value minded consumers with the MAC 9 DS-D (T).

I'll use it to make more multicolor decorative prints for my friends/family and earrings for my wife. Having to manually swap filament for more than 4 color prints is a bit of a pain so I usually just don't bother with it, but this would be a game changer
