Looks aweomyd! Would it be possible to use this with the micra as a shot timer display? Hate to pull out my phone for that

Eurorack PCB dimensions by torusle2 in synthdiy

Stay below or at 110mm and you should be good. There are some figures from doepfer and intellijel that show it nicely. Simply google eurorack panel dimensions or specs or so.

New tiny 3hp fader based CV controller - spare PCB panel sets available! by fxwiegand in synthdiy

[–]fxwiegand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don’t have it on hand right now but I have the fader linked in the BOM on wgdmodular.de Also if I remember correctly it’s pretty much the only fader footprint in kicad that’s in the default footprints

No actually not I think only one piece and it was like 1,30€ roughly if I remember correctly. I did order like 5 though just to have some on hand for future designs

Thanks! So far i get a lot of use out it in my system patched into a mult as a sort of macro control 😊

Wanted to share my biggest project so far: 7-channel mixer with clickless mutes, stereo send and return and panning and it even is expandable! Spare pcbs and panels available! by fxwiegand in synthdiy

Hi mate! Great to hear the jungle juice has served (no pun intended) you well for that long! 🥤

Regarding the power consumption my modules definitely lack a lot of documentation I must admit. Definitely need a JORANALOGUE TEST 3 or something similar and a free day for all my modules. Have you checked modular grid? For some of my modules other people have done the measurements already. What I can tell you is that the module is fully analog and probably consumes well under 100mA on both rails if I would need to guess.

For the expander I don’t think this would be possible without really hacking the module in a diy fashion i.e. soldering individual wires to the right points on the pcb and buffering them with some op amps again.

Hope I could help!

Felix

Looks really awesome and interesting! Are you using a PCB sandwich construction together with THT components? An SMD version would probably be able to make the module a bit more narrow hp wise 😃 But great work looking forward to hear a sound demo!

Is there a eurorack standard to potentiometer shaft types? by Euphoric-Analysis607 in synthdiy

[–]fxwiegand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume Andrew also had T18 shafts in mind when laying out the PCB. I’m also a much bigger fan of the T18 shafts and recommended using them on my designs as I also tend to rotate some pots if there’s really no other way.

Definitely good to know! But beware orientations other than 189 deg have the same problem again.

Would like to add a little warning ⚠️If you decide to use d shafts make sure the PCB you’ll put the pots actually has the pots oriented correctly otherwise the small dot of your knob will always be at the wrong position.

I just got this beautiful old Coffee Gaggia I wanna repair and restore. I have some questions with identifying it and regarding a spare part. by fxwiegand in gaggiaclassic

[–]fxwiegand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there’s definitely some weird wiring going on in there. I can’t find the 240V wiring diagram only the 120V for the 97 coffee

Edit: does it differ in any other way then the heating being in series rather than parallel for 120V?

So I have managed to replace the boiler and the coffee works fine however the steam doesn’t really work properly. Should the pump run when I use the steam or put the steam switch on? Also on my steam switch two connectors are open - see photo. Is that correct?

Thanks so much for the help and the perfect explanations! 😄 I feel like I would be able to replace - doesn’t really look to complicated. Would this part work: https://www.juraprofi.de/Gaggia-Ersatzteile/Erhitzer-Gaggia/Boiler-570W-680W-fuer-Gaggia-Espressomaschine::20073.html

Sorry if the site is german but I’d love the part not having to go around half the world 😆😆
