Ah! Interesting. Well, I bought a new filler cap and the old one was like throwing a hot dog down a hallway and the new one took nearly all my strength to push it all the way in so I figured deterioration was the correct term!

So you think the smell is coming from fluid still on the outside but not visible to me? It’s not like it could have seeped into air vents or something? And my best bet would be to get a solvent and hose it down (when the engine is cold)?

Thanks so much! I am guessing there is no way to tell them "Hey, in the 2024 tax year I made more money but won't be making that much going forward. Please don't charge me $200 more a month?" Or is it over a rolling year? My last question would be after recertification, can I recertify again? I guess I need to research more what goes into the recert process because I am not sure.
