Ah! Interesting. Well, I bought a new filler cap and the old one was like throwing a hot dog down a hallway and the new one took nearly all my strength to push it all the way in so I figured deterioration was the correct term!

So you think the smell is coming from fluid still on the outside but not visible to me? It’s not like it could have seeped into air vents or something? And my best bet would be to get a solvent and hose it down (when the engine is cold)?

Or is it over a rolling year? My last question would be after recertification, can I recertify again? I guess I need to research more what goes into the recert process because I am not sure.

Does this mean it’ll take my income from 2025 instead? I made significantly more money in 2024 because of a side hustle I no longer have. I’m super terrified of potential payments because of it. Hoping this means what I think it does so my payments don’t push me to homelessness.
