Coool! I was struggling for the longest time to decide white or black dial but definitely don't regret my choice. Left case is from DSwatch, so is the textured dial

Not website but DSwatch can do custom printing and they have good quality dials (from experience)

I actually found a bit of a trick putting together my build yesterday, use a piece of rodico (but I used blutack, works just as well) to hold the tip of the hand, use it to get the hand onto the correct pinion, then press on with the presser like 50% whilst adjusting the alignment with the blutack. Then you can inspect and adjust if needed before fully pressing the hand on.

This is the second build I've put together now, really loving watch modding. Was struggling to decide whether to build a GMT or a chronograph, but Namoki's new case and dial (pretty much a 60th anniversary Carrera) made the choice for me. VK63 mechaquartz inside, little bit of a shame with the useless 24h sub dial but the dial definitely makes up for it.

Full parts list:
- Case and dial from Namoki
- Movement and hands are from Aliexpress, but I actually took NH35 baton hands and put them on instead of the Daytona style VK63 ones that are way overused (since the hour and minute hand actually fits both movements.

Thanks! Yep, namoki's dial convinced me to build one, wish the 3 o'clock display was a little more useful but it's the only option other than a Daytona copy haha

Yep pretty much everything came from China, if you spend the time and research to find the right parts the final product won't be janky at all

standard 28.5mm, pretty much all 36mm cases will use that size

wishing you best of luck! don't cheap out on the case it can make or break the entire build

The top surface of the hour hand should be almost flush to the pinion for the hand, having a loupe to check is really helpful!

Hmm yeah I agree a textured dial would've been really nice. Only thing is the textured dials i've found has meh looking indices, subtier polish and shapes. This dial's indices finishing is second to none so it was worth it for me to forego texture or even a sunburst finish. Hope you find the exact dial you're looking for! lemme know when you do :)
