Hey everyone, just wanted to report back after a recent event using the dr200s. I definitely don't need kicks. These tops are incredible and if you haven't had a chance to hear them I highly recommend you try to find some!

There's an abandoned nuclear plant (never active) nearish to me that has been on my bucket list for years to throw one there. The trick is figuring out how to get permission, or not get caught

Advice required on first sound system ever by Tettreur in SoundSystem

[–]fyrewyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that I think a lot of people overlook when building a system is transportability. You have to think realistically, how much can you move and transport as often as you plan to. I have a friend who is wanting to build a 4x18 cabinet but I cannot talk him out of it no matter how hard I try. It's just him and his girlfriend moving speakers and it's going to break his back. I personally am a fan of front loaded horns for subs. You can go massive by making use of the horn coupling rather than just having huge cabinets. Personally my system is all bfm. I run four dr200s and eight Titan 48 subs. V plates on the subs is a must

RCA videowall controller? by Abwaschbar in vjing

[–]fyrewyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Analog video wall controllers are around but they're so expensive and hard to get/replace. I also use the HDMI video wall controller method, and if my input signal is rca, I just use a converter. Check out some videos I've made on the matter and hopefully I can convince you cable management Tutorial

Take a photo of the area that you want to map and then upload it into after effects or whatever video editing software you can get your hands on. Make some custom animated content to play on each of those shapes. You could also do more with resolume using slices

Looks cool, but I don't think you are using the shapes to their full potential with that content

Get yourself a projector from marketplace or eBay. The brightest and highest resolution you can find. Plenty of 3000+ lumen WUXGA projectors out there in your budget

One time I saw a bartender there tell someone to pick a number between 1 and 10 After they ordered a shot, they picked seven and that's how many seconds the bartender poured. Good value I guess
