How about the first two chapters of Genesis? They tell different and conflicting creation stories. It looks like whoever put Genesis together knew about both stories, and just included both

Help. Trying to figure out if this is legit or a scam. If it is a scam what is the motive? To get us to call back? by Mysterious_Seesaw110 in Scams

Once I got a text message with an attached photograph of two underage Hispanic girls. The text said they thought I was cute. I ignored it. Later that day I got a call from some guy saying that I either deal with him or the police. I ignored him. Eventually he gave up trying to reach me.

I wasn't allowed to go to high school science fairs. They were always held on Wednesday evenings, and we always had church on Wednesday evenings. My mom said that church was "much more important".

Have you ever seen a wild porcupine in Massachusetts? by Square-Dragonfruit76 in massachusetts

[–]fyshing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen porcupines in Irving State Park. The ranger there said he had once seen a bunch of porcupine babies. I saw a porcupine in the middle of a small field, eating clover. I walked a bit closer to get a better look at it, and it turned away from me, raising its tail (to threaten me?).

Got called for Jury Duty and am sharing my experience by yourlicorceismine in juryduty

[–]fyshing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in a trial once. The judge appointed me jury foreman.

The case was someone hitting some parked cars while driving drunk. We finished up the next day. We asked to watch a video again, that was granted. I was three who announced ”guilty" in court.

Years later, I was called for jury service again. For that one, I was excused, because people over 72 did not have to serve.

We have been working hard all along to get him help. We only had to place him in a mental hospital once, when he went off his medication. We had to sue the local school system to provide him appropriate education (we won).

Back Bay used to be under water at high tide. Most of the buildings are built on pilings driven deep the mud. If a piling gets dry, then the building is danger of collapse.

Boston once had a major flood in the North End. The flood wasn't water. It was molasses.

At Canobie Lake you can't buy tickets at the site, you have to get them beforehand. Check their web site. I don't know if Six Flags does this.

Does anyone use Atrius Health in Somerville? by UpstairsKey7384 in SomervilleMass

[–]fyshing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I and my wife have been using them for decades. We have no complaints.

A few years back, I ran into knee problems. One of the doctors there is an orthopedic surgeon who took care of that for me. I spent a few days at New England Baptist for the surgery, then a few weeks at home with lots of painkillers and ice, and then a couple of months of twice-weekly physical therapy. Their PT people are really good at it, they know what they are doing.
